Well, I'm a teenaged vegetarian. I made the switch very gradually. I began to start eating more foods from Morning Star Farms (a good brand of meat substitutions), and less meat.

As far as school food goes, talk with your principal or counselor about getting more vegetarian options. They really can't say no to you.

And your parents probably won't mind that much. Just keep assuring them that you are getting the correct amounts of protein and vitamins that you need to stay healthy, so they won't worry. Just whatever you do, don't keep it a secret from them. That can only hurt you.

Good luck with the switch! For more tips, visit goveg.com.

Its simple, just ask your parents to help you along with it. Tell them how they feel and they'll respect your decision if they love you. At school, there's always meals as a substitute for meat. Do your research and its never a better time to start than now.

That's a great idea. Go for it however I'm a non-veg.

Ok so just cut ur meat down per day like only for lunh and have little and little of it possible because this helps your system get rid of it and not want it anymore.Between ur parents tell them about it and they will understand. School bring your lunch or just get a salad or yogurt..

tell to your parents what u want and to all members of the family and be always ready or know how to cook or prepare your own meal, any way very simple just prepare always veg salad ,fruits can subtitute too

ok, i'm a veg and it's not hard at all.
ask ur parents if it's alright and in school, and for school, get something vegetarian, like i don't buy food everyday cause they have meat stuff, but u could get a sandwich or salad or something, in my school, they hav pizza and sandwich everyday, so i don't really worry if there's meat or anything and i have no choice

I am a vegetarian and I also believe that eating meat is cruel to animals(my opinion)
But I think you need to sit down and have a talk with your parents about this, and if they agree, start buying lots of veggies.
I don't think that vitamin pills are necessary, just make sure you eat right and eat foods with protein and iron.
Such as beans, tofu(actually very good), peanut butter, leafy greens.
Plus if you are trying to lose weight while being a vegetarian, you should eat right, that means cut down on sugars and junk foods, and get at least a good amount of exercise.
Don't push yourself too hard though!
Good luck!^^

i know your situation, im 17, and became veg 2 months ago..when i told my parents, they weren't/ aren't all for it, but they still support my desicion..
i basically said "i know you may not agree, but please don't put me down on this. just support me. i want to go vegetarian."
it worked very well, they basically just told me to do my research on it.
p.s. congradulations on the change
bring your own lunch to school, and you have full control of what you eat at home so that shouldn't be a problem

Great idea, just ask your parent.

well i`m also a vegitarian though my friend got really ill from a iron dificency and he got a k.iiief strain 7948261.//53435 virus
