Do you think I did some thing wrong? Why was my question removed? Who can I contact from the yahoo team to appeal?
I thought it was a legitimate question and I am sorry if I offended any one, that was definitely not my intention.
Answers: Why was my question removed?? It was removed because I had “A violation in a question". But I don’t understand what I did wrong. I was just curious about what happed to the top contributor in the vegetarian and vegan section. I didn’t mean any offence or harm I was just wondering why he/she wasn’t online any more. I don’t feel like I have violated any of yahoo’s rules.

Unfortunately, from what I understand, asking questions about other members is considered chatting.
I know from experience.
By all means don't let it upset you. This is one of the sections that this sort of thing happens all of the time. There is no way you offended anyone. If someone doesn't like you for some reason they take a shot at you every chance they get.
You can appeal your violation at this e-mail address:
y_answrs_team@yahoo.com

it was a bad qeuston happens to me all the time
didn't offend me.
somebody probably reported you because they were angry.
or the top contributer buy that lost his rank was angry
or it had nothing to to with food or vegitarism/veganism (sorry for spelling)
i wouldn't worry though happens all the time to me
i am sorry you were removed. please try not to take it to personal, sometimes there are angry, mean people out there trying to be funny. good luck
prob the same reason green ghost hasn't been around... they send out violations like candy without looking at them. No, I don't think you did anything wrong with your question, it sounds like a good question to me... maybe green just got worn out on the v&v, who knows.
mental institution now....
It was removed because someone on here reported it period. This is how it works someone reports a question for a real reason or just because they don't like you and bam they remove it. Noone reads it to check to see if it was a real violation they just remove it. That's is why the trolls get away with so much Noone is really in charge.
the top contributer is around in another form- his "greenghost" lives on in spirit :D
Someone obviously didn't like it and reported it - regardless of whether it broke the rules or not.
You will have received an email about your question being deleted whereby there will be a link you can follow to dispute/appeal the action.
I've had to go through this - it's rather quick and painless. Just write down that you don't understand why your question was deleted and request for them to explain how you violated the rules.
If you're in the right, your question will be re-posted and you'll receive email notification.
It was probably considered "chatty"--that's against the rules.
I don't understand that, but that's the way it is.
Sometimes you can get reported at random. You can appeal, but that's no guarantee it will do anything.
I had an answer removed apparently because "I was giving an opinion." It made no sense to me; because it was a "what do you think about this" kind of question. I appealed twice and it went nowhere.
It's not that important, so I just let it go.
Yahoos reporting system is screwed. Any two or more or a single top reporter/contributor can report a question or answer and it's goodbye. I seriously doubt if Yahoo actually reviews the quesytion/answers reported. I seriously doubt that the Yahoo Answers "team member" who sends you the email is even a real person. There is also a supposed appeals process but that's mostly an exercise in futility.
Your question may not be necesarily wrong or inaapropriate (though i can believe what Pres for Life says aboit it being considered "chatting") but if any any one finds it "offensive" the theyc an report you anyway. some people use the reporting system just to harrass other members. Same as the thumb down/up system. If you are in a specific section and you dare to question or post a dissenting opinion, chances are you are going to get thumbed down by the fanatics who patrol those pages regardless of whether you may sense or not. You will be labeled a troll too.
Just don't get too worked up about it. A "violation"in an anonymous open forum on the internet is not something you should be worrying too much about.
