Did you know that monkey nuts were vegetarian and vegan?!

Question: I did because they don't have any animal products and are not meat.

Answers: I did because they don't have any animal products and are not meat.

yes & so are all the other nuts ,just the word 'monkey' has resulted in this confusion i guess, play safe now & stick with peanuts or ground nuts as these are also called .

are we talking bollocks or are we talking peanuts?

Er yes, elephants love them..........

same applies to all other nuts,

except you

NO

This may not be a popular answer - but since you are talking about family and the culture that you are - - have you thought about just taking a small portion of it - VERY SMALL portion of it - and sort of shred it up and leave it mixed in with other things on your plate that are going to be left over and not eaten so that they won't know that you didn't really eat it??

It is a trick that I learned years ago from being with the military and having to be and eat in places that - - one wouldn't normally eat what is presented to them - - and you could help them 'save face' and you don't insult them sort of approach that might work for you in such family situations.

You do indeed have a very tricky and sticky situation with this one. Hope you figure it out and keep peace within the family.

Of course! There never is meat in nuts! And Vegans can eat them because they are not cooked.

"Drop the phone" has a good question.

The problem would be getting the monkey to stand still long enough for you to get them.

.....I've been known to pose arguments and situations in this forum but reading your question really doesn't do you any justice. I guess they would be vegan and vegetarian if you could use/consume them without using or consuming them.......if that made any sense. So yes. They would be in itself unless any harm was to come to the monkey or its nuts.......I believe.

are you actually excited becaouse you just found this out? they're nuts for gods sake, of course they're veggie and vegan. did you actually think they came from monkeys?? Bloody hell... do you know about chickpeas yet? not from chickens you know!
