depends what kinda of vegetarien u wanna be. an ovo-lacto vegetarian eats everything except meat, a lacto vegetarian eats everything except meat and eggs. a vegan eats no animals products, no meat eggs milk or anything. a white meat vegetarian eats everything except red meat, so they would still eat chicken but not pork, from wat it sounds ur going traditional vegetarian, known to us human biology nerds as a ovo-lacto vegetarian. generally these ppl dont eat meat to start with but weening urself is ok aswell. make sure u eat lots of different vegies and lots of them so u dont get low iron or protein levels. if u can afford it take a multivitamin and u should always make sure u visit ur doctor to get ur iron and protein levels checked once a month as being lwo in these will make u aneamicand can also make u extremely sick!!!
good luck and congrats on joining the leafbrigade!!

yes...good job...but you need to try to replace the amino acids you are taking away from your...i think there are pills out there for that.

Sure...go at your own pace. Listen to your heart and your body. It is your journe.

For me, it was easiest to just stop eating meat all together and then experiment with suitable alternatives. You would be amazed with what they have out there! For "fake meats" there is tempeh, tofu, seitan, and name brand products like Quorn, Gardenburger, Morningstar Farms, Yves, Boca and Lightlife (among many others).

I just stopped eating meat and I had no cravings. But to each his own.

So far, that is a good way to prepare yourself. However, just like Jenn stated, you need to figure out where you will get your protein.
I have a half sister who is 14 years old and she became a vegetarian 2 years ago. Trouble was, it wasn't planned and she isn't getting enough protein or amino acids in her diet.

You may want to check with a nutritionist who obviously specializes in vegetarianism. That's what my little should have done with her mom. He/she can give you helpful information and recommendations. You may also have to get your blood checked periodically just to make sure your internal organs are properly functioning. Best of luck!

yes of course, you have to take your time and do what works better for you.

you go one step at a time and learn to be healthy and happy and reduce cruelty!

good luck!

Being a vegetarian is good and it is also good for your health. It will help you to keep from illness. It makes you more beautiful. If you have any doubt just refer this site.
