What is a good subtitute for Turkey/ham in a sandwhich?!
Do you know of any good meat substitutes (soy product) that are good tasting and have a good texture to them when eating them for sandwiches i mean?
The ones I buy are always too thick
Answers: I've been a vegetarian since I was six but I have never been able to find a good tasting soy product to put on my sandwiches.

I personally don't like using meat substitute in sandwiches. You may want to consider using mushrooms. I like making grilled portabello mushroom sandwiches. I marinate them with lemon juice, olive oil, a bit of cumin, salt, pepper, fresh garlic, and pureed ancho chili in adobo (canned). Leave them in the marinade for 30 minutes then grill. I topped it with my favorite veggies and guacamole.
eat more peanut butter.
Try delicate cottage cheese or some call it curd cheese or in indian language its called "paneer"......its the best substitute
tofurky makes thin deli slices, but i'm not a fan. the texture is good, though.
you could always slice some marinated tofu thinner...i feel like fake meat is probably processed a bit too much sometimes.
Tofurky, Lightlife, & Yves has ham and turkey deli slices.
Also tempeh, tvp, sieten, and tofu can be cooked and made to taste and look like ham/turkey.
I like lettuce and peanut butter
Morning Star Farms makes great bacon strips, which are carried in the grocery store's frozen section.
Seperate the frozen individual strips onto a plate, the micro-wave 'em for 2.5 to 3 minutes on high heat. They should be crispy. Then, make yourself a BLT. Enjoy!
