Most of the plain chips (such as corn - Fritos, and tortilla - Tostitos) are vegan, whereas most flavored types are not. Read the ingredients.

Also you should make kale chips!

I'm pretty sure the original/plain flavoured lays are vegan. You could look on this site for other vegan chips: http://www.peta.org/accidentallyVegan/
I can't remember their name, but if they have it around you, browse in the veggie section of the store and look around. Ask a grocer if they know of it. It's somewhere near there. I wish I could remember their name but it's totally Vegan! Best bet, if you can't find them there, maybe at Trader Joes if you have one of those too... ?
there are these things called "TINGS"they are incredible, they taste just like Cheetos but they are Vegan.....
i eat plain potato chips, most are safe, plus al0t of chicken cheezels dont have chicken in them, u get suprised when u read the labels xxxxxxxxxxx
Yeah, vege chips are a safe bet. Just check their ingredient list on the back. I'm fairly sure they have to list egg and milk etc on the back (in Australia, anyway!).
I myself wonder about corn chips? Does anyone know if they're vegan-friendly?
There are these wonderful wonderful corn chips called.. "Surf Chips" (I think..) In australia that are diiiviiiinnneee.. especially if you love salt. I could eat bag.. after bag.. after bag.. ;D
you'd have to check the ingredients. cheetos obviously has cheese in it. vegan "cheese" chips would be hard to find. you'd have to go in a health food store and check, vegan labeled chips wouldn't be in your regular supermarket. keep in mind that veganism doesn't just exclude cheese and milk, there are so many other ingredients to watch out for.
also, the first person who replied to your question is wrong... why? because peta's accidentally vegan list is NOT entirely vegan, the real vegans know what I'm talking about. many of those snacks listed have animal ingredients in them.
The PLAIN Sunchips are vegan......Check out peta's site, they have a list called i cant believe its vegan with a list of chips cookies etc that are vegan found in your everyday supermarkets :)
I think cool ranch diritos are suitable for vegans
