Juicer Question?!
Answers: I'd like a suggestion for a small, dependable and relatively quiet juicer. I like to juice fresh fruits and veggies, however the nightmarish beast of a machine I currently use is very noisy and quite large.
I have a Sunbeam Juice Life. It's great and a 'proper' juicer in that it gets everything out unlike the Breville juicers that claim to juice one apple but most comes out in the pulp. I don't know all the details about it but I know it's a great juicer - really quiet (described as 'gentle') - I've been using it every day for the past few weeks. My son is 22 months and I just cut up the carrots etc and put in a bowl next to him and he has fun making his own juice (just an indication of how un-beastly it is!) It's easy to clean and everything can go in the dishwasher also. I'll find the link for you. My partner last night was only saying that he wishes he bought a second one as a back up because he saw them really cheap in a store a few months ago (about $120 but normally they are much more). I've had three different juicers in the past and it's definately worth spending a little extra because if it works better you'll be more likely to use it.
I just realised that you may not be able to get these in the USA (If you are there), or they might be under a different name. I'll link you the Sunbeam site anyway.
I have juiced for many years, and have tried most juicers. The expensive ones are harder to clean and much noisier than the less expensive ones, in my opinion. I have always been happy with the Waring ones. Email me if you are interested in a good used one-I have a link.
I am not sure this meets your needs. I have a Jack LaLanne & am really happy with it. Easy to clean but it is pretty big & powerful.
Before I had a same one(2 actually) but I burned the motor out of them. My diet is heavy in fresh Veggie juices 20 oz. or more every day.
