Anyone who grew up pre-1960's and post early 2000's.

Pre 1960's it just wasn't culturally prevalant and was more difficult to maintain.

Post 2000, we had a fallback to the 80's, but without the consciencous objector people (Save the Whales, No Fur, Spay & Neuter, etc). People growing up in this era see Paris Hilton not giving a damn, so they don't either. Too self absorbed and wrapped up in the "What I do won't make a difference".

Or, anyone who grew up huntin' and fishin' and killin' and having sex with their cousins.

I would have to say B and G and H. The worst are the teens but they usually grow more understanding when they get into their mid 20s or so.

What is there to understand? You have made a choice to not eat meat... that means more for me. I am fine with your decision.

Besides, there are a lot more important things for me to worry about than your diet.

Well Kimberly your question is quite skewed with many errors. To begin with group has no choice, but to eat what their family gives them. I doubt that a preschooler can understand the significance behind veganism and veg. Secondly, group G and H missed the hippie generation when veganism was created. I doubt that they thought it was very healthy at the time. Group B does it because their friends tell them it is cool, theyremit over time. Group C probably has a good understanding, but most are in college at this time and think they are changing the world anyways. Group D-F finally get hit with families, life and real responsibilities outside of worrying about a chicken and decide the whole thing is nothing but a sham anyways. Sorry, but these groups of people can't worry about a baby calf when they may lose their job anyday.

So....basically what your question should be is at what age group do people finally realize that a flexatarian diet is the better way to go in life for health and social reasons.

Silly old 'Common Sense'! People in their 60s and 70s missed the hippie generation? - they WERE the hippie generation! Someone who's 60 now had all their teenage years in the 1960s.

Kimberley, you really can't generalise; I've never, outside this forum, encountered anyone of any age who's had a problem understanding or accepting veg*nism.

I'm 55 soon and I went vegetarian in 1969 (vegan now) and I know many veg*ns in my age group. My aunt died recently aged 90 after being a vegetarian all her adult life. I taught pre-school kids for years and always found them accepting of other kids and adults who were veg*n - it just wasn't an important issue for them, just another way people were. It's clear from this board that many teenagers are veg*n.

I don't think there's an answer to your question.

I would say h as they grew up during depression and war times but at that same time there probably was alot of meatless meals. On second thought I have to agree with some previous posts. I grew up on a dairy farm with my entire extended family being farmers so we dont' really get those lifestyles. Farmers like to eat meat, but my dad grows soy beans and has dairy cows so all things are covered!

What lifestyle? Do you mean being vegetarian? teenagers.

I don't understand it. the human body was designed to eat plants and meat. I'm not going to go against my biology to save a chicken. that chicken is still gonna die, and someone is still gonna eat it. Might as well be me.

well with me its everyone cuz everyones so ignorant just like the person above me saying we were meant to eat meat. Actually sweetheart we werent. It even says in the bible that god said he will give us seeds and plants to eat and that will be our food. You dont NEED meat. We vegans&veggies are completely healthy and a lot healthier then you ignorant meat eater fools. RESEARCH! get ur facts right before you go saying we were designed to eat them. If we were then our teeth would be designed bigger like umm tigers and lions..they eat animals the size of a cow and umm you eat a lil chicken leg or a small part of a cow.

teenagers, 50s, 60s, 70s and older.

It's Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Do you know I can speak fluent Klingon?

f to h.... for chinese, they think they will get nutrien from what they eat... exp: for make someone more clever, chinese always eat brain of pig.... sucks....
