its not that bad, just becareful of overdosing on iron. If you don't plan on adding variety towards your diet, i'd recommend taking a big glass of milk (dairy or soy, really anything with calcium) with your spinach. This is due to calcium reducing the amount of iron absorption by 50%. This will help to ensure you don't receive a toxic level of iron.

If anything i thoroughly advocate adding a variety of vegetables to your diet, instead of just sticking with dark leafy vegetables.I'd have to admit it is great to hear this problem as dark green leafy vegetables tend to be those that people more often lack. But please remember, Too much of one thing is never healthy.

Yes you can overdose on iron - be careful as it will affect your digestion and probably turn your poo black if it hasn't already!

Cant see it being bad for you other than spinach makes people go to the toilet more or gassy, bit like baked beans other than the extra wind i cant see how it would be bad for you.

Well if you want to look like Popeye, and have a girl like Olive you could soon clear the bad guys from our land.

Didn't do Popeye any harm!!!!! and did you see the forearms on the guy!!!!!!

If you take warfarin you cannot eat spinach, the two don`t mix !!

Provided you cook it by rinsing and heating for a minute or so. There is a small risk of using raw spinach as a salad due to e. coli contaminated water being used in the washing of the leaves. You are unlikely to suffer hemochromatosis so 300g/day is negligible risk. Also the cyanide levels are well below risk. You should avoid extra unneeded VitC supplements as these further enhance bone and organ uptake of iron and could remotely lead to risk of arthritis or liver damage.

That's only 10 ounces of spinach. There's nothing wrong with that at all. Go for it. Eat that whole bag of spinach!!

well yeah cos spinach is gross.
