Yeah i find it weird. That is normally the comment I get when eating anything vegan, even baked goods. They all say varieties of the samething "Its gross," "that's nasty," or That looks/is gonna taste disgusting."

Yet these are the same people who ingest fecal matter from dead animal organs.

Oh well, in the long run its better off,
more for me!

i just put it in recipes without telling people and i ask them if they like it and they always love it and they're so suprised when i tell them what they've just eaten

no it dosent bug me when people say that one because im not vegetarian and two your being hypacritical by saying eww your the one eating flesh and poor animals
but i can see how it would bug you

That's actually never happened to me. When I went on vacation with my father I was cooking tofu using this awesome marinade and he was really intrigued by it. And my friends even cook with it and they are not even vegetarian. Same with my mother.

But maybe they are criticizing it in their head but they don't want to insult me so they just keep quiet. I don't know.

Oh well, if your friends don't like it. Just tell them to SIT AND SPIN!!

I do! it really makes me mad! whenever im at work i pack my lunch and when im in the break room people see me eating vegitables and stuff and they are always like ewwwww what the hell is that? and they always tell me that i eat weird stuff but its just healthy stuff they are eating diseased meat!

some ppl are just ignorant
and rude

i would like to become a semi- vegetarian, i couldnt give up my chicken or eggs, so im gonna b semi-vegatarian. i dont think it's that bad (soy) i drink soy milk at school and home, i think it is perfectly fine. it has an odd taste but not gagging horrible.

It really doesn't bother me. I find most people are pretty open to it, the one that throws most people off is Seitan or "wheat meat". It also doesn't really bother me that some people eat meat.

I have made a decision which is good for me, and it is my prerogative, I respect the rights of others to consume meat.

well, I don't eat tofu anymore. and don't really cook my food in front of people except my mom and sister. but when I used to eat tofu, my sister used to say how it smells weird, I just ignored her most of the time.
yes, I agree with you though. I mean they shouldn't be commenting on something like that when they're the ones who are eating flesh. I mean, come on. flesh vs. plant food. which one is more disgusting. it's pretty obvious.

Yeah...my family likes to poke fun at my meatless food. I know they do it with a friendly spirit, but still.

I look at my tofu or soy-based meats....then consider the bloody, fatty animal flesh they're about to consume and think to myself, "Seriously....who's eating the grossest food here? Certainly not ME!"
:-)

Oh cry me a river. You're killing innocent animals right now with every breath you take you kill billions of microscopic creatures. Until you're walking around with a magnfying glass making sure you don't step on any 'innocent ants' you're in no position to judge people who eat meat.

Besides as long as you're strong in your conviction it won't bother you what other people think.

Ps, tofu is gross.
