The most common form of vegetarianism is lacto-ovo vegetarian, which means that you eat eggs and dairy products, but no flesh.
Vegans don't eat any animal products at all, and thus do not eat eggs.
There is no "argument" as far as I can tell; eat what you want to eat.
Btw, this recipe for french toast sounds yummy. Enjoy!
Eggs are suitable for vegetarians, but not vegans.
umm actually no some vegetarians dont eat eggs.
Yes eggs are vegaterian because there not meat really.
Egg is veggie but not vegan. It depends what you believe in. If you think that it is mean to put hens in cages to produce eggs, eat only free range or none at all.
total vegans, don't eat anything animal, and an egg is a part of a baby chicken before it is hatched. some vegetarians do eat eggs, but not total vegans.
As a vegetarian, yes you can eat eggs.
The ethical arguments against eating eggs is generally involve battery cages:

And the fact that (even a "free range" operation) after hatching, an egg producing business sexes the chicks, then throws the boys into trash bags. Alive.
Some things are just wrong.
Have you ever had a pet chick?
Did you know they come when you call them and shake when they're afraid? They're actually really smart, sweet creatures.
i'm a vegetarian and i don't eat eggs. just make sure you eat eggs from free range chickens, available at almost any grocery store these days
Store-bought eggs were never fertilized so you're not really killing a chick. Then again, if you're a vegetarian because you oppose animal cruelty, you probably don't want to eat eggs because of the treatment of their mothers. Even with free-range eggs, it's pretty hard to tell where your eggs are coming from.
If you are lacto-ovo vegetarian but if your not then no.
You can be a vegetarian and eat eggs, but I believe it's called something different.
Vegans however, cannot.
I eat eggs sometimes. Of course eggs are vegetarian; however, they are not vegan.
Eggs are ovo and lacto-ovo vegetarian.
lacto vegetarians, strict vegetarians, and vegans don't eat them.
The typical western vegetarian will eat eggs. However some vegetarians follow the rules which apparently originate in Asia where eggs are classed as meat.
If your cooking for a vegetarian friend and they are not of Asian descent then odds are they will eat eggs.If you have time to ask it's never a bad idea to be sure though.
If the vegetarian in question is you then you will have to look into how hens are treated and decide for yourself.
I have ex-battery hens and they just leave the eggs or if the eggs break they eat the eggs themselves so im sure they dont mind people eating them.
Eggs are still a Animal though, but it's an unborn animal. Kind of Like abortion thing.
Some Vegetarians eat it, and some don't
But if your Vegan than you REALLY don't
