If you're a veg(etari)an, would you do this?!
Answers: Since your "canines" are meant for eating meat, and we don't eat meat anyway, would you have them filed down so that they're basically bicuspids?
Human canines are not meant for eating flesh, muscle tissue, bones, etc (a.k.a meat), they are meant for grinding and chewing thick grains and certain plants. We have maxillary & mandibular 'canines' which they are all located three teeth away from the midline, and they are not located near the front in which they either protrude out or near protruding. So the arguments with human canine teeth backfires and further proves veganism.
So to answer your question, of course not they are needed to eat certain plant made foods, without them it would limit my plant eating options.
No, you'd look abnormal!
Your logic makes me laugh, my friends are going to love this, nice work.
No way.
NO!!... if you're considering it.. DONT DO IT!! its painful, I don't see a good reason to do so anyways...
no
No way!
im a vegetarian... and no way.
id end up looking like a freak haha.
i wonder wat they'll say to this..
why?????? i don't see the point in ruining tools that natural selection gave you after a very long process. you never know when you'll need them, even if you dont eat meat,
no
Lol. No. I don't have to change something specifically on me or in me because I'm a vegetarian. But it's totally up to the person. :) Veg(etari)an rocks!
no way, besides, filing them closer to the fleshy parts of your teeth is dangerous
no because there not just meant for eating meat there meant for biting and tearing food apart. Unless all you don't bite or tear food i don't think this is a good idea.
Hey, good idea. And while you're at it, might as well get your brain removed. You don't seem to be using that either.
LOL No way
yes i actually have every third tooth removed bc i find it useless to complete the full chewing process as well as file canines then i recycle the teeth into reusable compost that can be used to grow fair trade organic coffee. just kidding. but i would love to see someone become a bicuspid!
Canines don't necessarily mean they were created to eat meat-That's a myth. There are many animals wo have canines but eat grass and wheats and veges. Horses have canines, similar to our own....interestingly enough-They don't eat meat and they wouldnt use it as an excuse to do so LOL.
Our canines are useful for piercing fruit but not long enough or strong enough to puncture hide
Nah, I may need them when I go back to eating flesh. (Just kidding).
My canines weren't "meant" for eating meat and bear very little resemblance to the canines of a wolf or a lion, for example. Maybe you have fangs, but I don't.
Well, did you know our stomachs were only meant for plants? This is true. Why do you think most people feel bloated after consuming animal flesh?
I'm vegetarian, and I know what the truth is and i'm healthier than ever.
Since your tail bone is no longer needed, because humans have long since evolved the tail out, would you have it surgically removed?
Dumb question, dumb answer :P
LOL!!! That's funny urmmm....... but no i wouldn't. Haha :D
Human "canine" teeth are actually not suited to tear flesh. Look at this picture: http://www.medem.com/MEDEM/images/AMA/am...
They're more suited to eat processed, cut-up flesh or vegetable matter.
Compare the image above with true carnivores: http://www.wildlife-pictures-online.com/...
Obviously, the two pics are much different, suggesting that humans were actually meant to eat more plant-based foods. Human teeth are not able to kill a live animal because our teeth are basically level. We do not have the teeth of "natural" meat eaters.
So the logical answer to your question is, you shouldn't file them down because they are already as "low as they can go". Have you ever seen a person able to tear up a steak with his/her teeth? NO F*CKING WAY!! They always use a knife for reasons that are plain, simple, and are of face value. Never trust someone who claims that we are natural meat-eaters. They haven't done the research necessary to claim one side or the other.
