Why do people keep arguing that animals were meant to be eaten?!?!

Question: This arguement comes up a lot-Animals were meant for us to eat. They serve no other purpose blah. Im tired of it! Id like some answers stating that these ignorant fools that dont do their homework are wrong.

YES, SURVIVAL IS FOR THE FITTEST AND THE FITTEST SEEM TO BE VEGAN AND VEGETARIAN.

You people that use the food chain argument are ridiculously flawed in your thinking. Humans are food to several different types of species. Since mosquitos feed on humans you could say even they are higher up "the chain" than humans.

And those that say we have canine teeth...have you looked at your teeth recently? They couldn't tear shite let alone meat. If we had true canines, they would look like sharp pointy teeth that extend far below the rest of our teeth.

There are two fundemantal kinds of beings on this earth. One gets their energy directly from the sun. The other gets their energy from other beings. Humans get their energy from other beings whether it be plants or animals. In order for a human being to live, other life forms have to die.

It's part of the culture. I cannot count the number of times I've heard "It says it in the Bible."

I'm sure Jesus would just LOVE factory farming....

u baited me here..."only sickos could find that okay" referring to want to eat meat...we cud say the same that only weaklings dont want to eat meat but we dont, well i dont, im more mature than that...and did u know not every animal is dragged in tortured for hours and then butchered alive, ever heard of kocher meat, its killed painlessly, checked for diseases and is not pumped full of chemicals, this meat then is surely good for you so how can u generalize and say all animals are tortured, vegetarians complain about our genralizing yet this is one of your biggest generalizations.

I agree with you 100%. I'm tired of people using that argument too. Animals were not put on this earth to be people food! Just as humans were not meant to be carnivores. Our close relatives, gorillas, are vegetarians and they have sharper teeth than we do. Our teeth are flat and designed to grind plants.

Another argument people use is that animals eat each other, so why shouldn't we eat them? I would say to that, humans have a higher thought capacity. We can distinguish right from wrong (although some animals can do that too, on a basic level). We can rise above meat-eating.

cuz they're retards.

GO VEG(ETARI)ANS!!

To shut this argument up once and for all, our ancestors ate meat. If they hadnt' eaten meat, we wouldn't be here. And they couldn't go vegan because they didn't have enough native veggies or farming skills to do so. I don't believe animals were put on the earth for our consumption, but I do believe that we being "omnivores" gives us a choice as to whether or not we want both or just one. And our canines are for tearing meat, but humans were evolved to create tools, so that's how they killed animals. Carnivores and apes have such sharp teeth because they weren't evolved to create tools to kill.

Vegetarians and vegans are hippies eventhough my sister is vegan. The way I view it if it dies or is killed then use it ether a person or other animal would eat the creature anyway. HIPPIES!!!

I like meat.
You sound like you could do with some.

BRAIN OVER BRAWN, SURVIVAL IS FOR THE FITEST

its called the food chain

the higher up the food chain an organism is the more organisms below it it eats

perhaps you should do your homework first

the way I see it if its OK for animals to eat each other in the wild then why can't we eat them too

we have canine teeth for a reason.. you don't need those to eat a stick of celery..

Actually red meat helps our body grow and be better. I don't know how to say it but red meat is useful for our bodies and we are meant to eat it.

If we did not kill and eat animals, they would overrun the Earth. For example rabbits. They breed so quick in 10 years time if we did not kill them, we would be overrun by rabbits. They would eat all the vegetation so we would starve, and the rabbits will starve as well. Then our earth will be littered by million of dead rabbits

Get the point? If animals over breed, other plants and vegetation will die. These animals need to be fed somehow. Elephants are killed in South Africa for their ivory legally. Why? Because they are a pest. Kangaroos are killed in Australia because they are a pest.

Animals breed quickly. If there are too many, we will have to feed animals, and not us.

Refer to the food chain

Right after the biblical great flood, God gave all of the animals to Noah & his descendants as FOOD.
I am not about to insult the Lord by refusing his gifts.

Plus, meat is delicious!
