if i was one it would be 2

I pick number five:
The reason is that if I claim that I love animals why should I support killing them.

2, 3, 4, and 5-the environment.
There is no one reason for me being a vegetarian...it is a combo of most of the reasons you mentioned. Plus being a vegetarian pretty much the best thing you can do for the environment.

Mine answer would have to be 3, 4 & 5. I also became vegetarian because of my concern for the planet. I found out that the biggest contributors of methane gas are from the waste produced by cattle, pigs and chickens which is destroying ozone. I also found out it takes 300 lbs. of grain to produce 1 lb of hamburger (or 3000 not sure) and if everyone was a vegetarian there would be no world hunger. So I have to say mine was a social issue as well as just wanting to be more healthy.

2
3 except for fish i will have that.. Cooked
4

4 and 5 (healthier for environment)

2, 3, 4,
5-no one believed that i could or would do it because I've been trying to be a vegetarian since i was 11 years old.

1. Um, no. I don't think religion has anything to do with how you choose to eat...
2. Yes, I did watch some videos and decided to go veg.
3. I do not like the taste. =]
4. VERY MUCH SO! Meat is UNHEALTHY!
5. You'll live much longer, a lower risk at being obese, and other health-related issues.

Definitelly number 4, i am a little selfish and dont really care animals, just my healt

Well, it's sort of #2...I have never seen an animal slaughtered in person, only in videos, but I was against the idea of it before I even saw it.

5. Saves me tons of money

5. Because it fits my beliefs. The health and environmental impacts are just bonuses.

A combination of 2, 4 and 5, and a lot of thinking about it. Animals are living things and I don't need to kill them in order to eat, so I became a vegetarian. I don't like the idea of living things being "mass produced" in farms, only existing to be killed. While I try to encourage others to live a cruelty free life, I also respect other people's choice to not be vegetarian, since I'd like them to respect my choice.

Number 2
Although number 4 is also true im much more concerned about the animals

And yeah there are religions that are against the consumption of meat - you're right there x

number 5, its disrespectful to life.
