my favorite way to eat avocado is sprinked with lemon juice and a tiny bit of salt.
but you can make dip from it or add it to salads,it's good with cold pasta salad, or green leafy salad or with egg salad.

guacemole!

guacolome

on tortilla chips

mmm i want to put avocado on your shaved head and lick it off!!

Sushi!

I eat it with soy sauce/rice and a few vegetables. Make my own california roll. I also eat it by way of a smoothie, mixed with fruits.

You can make Guacamole, or put it on wheat bread and melt mozzerella cheese on it with a lil salt n peppa

Avocado and tomato sandwiches, salted with coarse sea salt on toasted whole wheat bread. Yummy!

California roll, on top of salads, avocado smoothie, and just plain with a little sugar sprinkled on top.
But, I think avocados have the bad fats, not the good fats. Not too sure about that.

I love avocado in guacamole obviously. But I love to slice it up on serve on top of black bean soup. Also, chop up avocado with tomatoes and mix a bit of lemon juice and olive oil in and serve on top of a salad.

The other day I made Green Garden Pitas. I just made up some guac. and stuffed it in a pita with tomato and cucumber slices.

avocado shake (they eat avocado as a fruit in other countries vs. as a side dish in US) - milk, vanilla ice cream and avocado in a blender..yummm!

I mash it with a potato masher, add lemon juice, garlic, a bit of salt, chopped tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapenos.

In salads, of course, but only make as much salad as you need because it doesn't keep...

As guacamole, which I make from scratch but if I'm being lazy, I just chop up avo and add some salsa to it...

An old family treat, put avocado on toast, preferably whole grain, buttered or dry, add a tiny pinch of salt and pepper...

Lately I've been adding having this for dinner a lot...1/2 can of good quality chili with meat and beans, I heat it up, add a small amount of cheddar and heat again just til the cheese is melted, then I add half an avocado, diced. This makes a very thick blend...which I eat with tortilla chips - super yummy!

Sometimes I cut an avocado in half, fill the empty seed hole with salsa and scoop it out with chips...

It's great in omelets...

Years ago my mom used to make avocado pie. I remember it had a graham cracker crust and whole pecans decorating the top. I'm sure she used sweetened, condensed milk so if the idea is healthy stuff this probably wouldn't hit the mark...sounds weird I know, but it was really good..

Oh, and one of my favs, that I invented one day when I was starving for a smoothie but was almost out of fruit, avocado/banana smoothie - yes, I know this sounds really weird but it is delicious. 1/2 an avocado, 1 frozen banana, a handful of ice cubes, milk, a dash of cinnamon, 1/4 ts vanilla, a little wheat germ, a little plain yogurt, a little milk and a small amount of real maple syrup blended...

cut it up in slices, and put a little salt on it and eat it! yummy in the tummy!!!! =D

avocado stuffed with prawns , and a mari rosa sauce is lovely , also sliced ontop of a green salad or alternatively with lemon and salt, ..and yes ! very good for you !

Avocados are good on top of salads. I usally eat my plain since I love them so much. I just cut it up and eat! Haha

Here are some of my fav. ways....I love avocado.

-In sandwiches (avocado club.)
-I cut it up and put it on salads....
-Mash it with a spoon (for guacamole) or just add some chopped onions and salt and pepper and hot sauce
-I sometimes put it in blender with some silken tofu and add cilantro and salt for dips
-Add to scrambled eggs (tofu if yer vegan) or in omelettes.
-I love eating it (but lots of people think its kinda weird) chopped up with rice and soya sauce

Enjoy :)

we make a special salad. Grill three avocados, then cube them. We cube up 4 tomatoes and 6 cucumbers in the same size and toss with your favorite lettuce(1 head) torn up. Add about 3 tbsp vinegar, and salt and pepper to taste. Sometimes we will make yogurt cheese (I am not vegan, but we are Muslim, so most cheeses are not okay.), and add that as well. I like to toss in green onions, but hubby does not. After you have tossed it, the salad makes this great green sauce. In the summer sometimes, we will have this for dinner three times a week. Yummy, and nice and cool too.

Put a little salt on it and put it in a tortilla!

I like to chop or mash it and mix it into hot, cooked rice that has been seasoned with a few pinches of chili power, cumin powder, garlic salt, a squeeze of lemon or lime juice and black pepper. One Hass advocado chopped/mashed and 2 cups of rice is about the right proportion.

It makes a good sandwich filling with sliced tomatoes and mayonnaise or dijon mustard on whole grain bread.

For a side dish, heat up a can of drained chick peas with a half cup of medium salsa. Mix in advocado chunks just before serving. You can make this a meal by serving in a wrap or over a bed of yellow rice.

Tropical Surprise Green Smoothie:

Half pineapple
1 avocado
2 stalks celery
Large handful of spinach leaves
1 piece of raw ginger
Water and ice cubes to fill a (Vita-Mix) blender to 8 cups

Optional: 1/4 to 1/3 cup of raw Agave nectar to taste if desired.

In a (Vita-Mix) blender add & blend.

Avocado Fudge Recipe:

1 ripened avocado
? cup margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup cocoa
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 chopped walnuts (optional)

In a medium sized saucepan, melt the margarine over low heat. Once margarine is melted, puree with avocado in food processor or blender until perfectly smooth. Be sure there are no chunks of avocado left.

Return mixture to saucepan over very low heat and aff the rest of the ingredients, except the walnuts, adding the powdered sugar a portion at a time.

Once all the sugar has been added, the mixture should be thick. Add walnuts if desired, and transfer to a loaf pan. Refrigerate until firm and once firm, slice it up into squares.

I also use avocado instead of butter/margarine – as a sandwich spread and in baked potatoes.

Use organic produce where possible.
