What is Your Opinion on Vegetarianism?!

Question: It's probably great for you as long as you can get enough protein (like from soy or something). I will say that I've heard it's quite difficult. If you're only doing it for health reasons, I think that it would be wise to eat some chicken or eggs or fish once in a while. But hey, the more veggies, the merrier. I am not a vegetarian, but I just had some veggies sausages for breakfast--mostly b/c I like the taste and they have less fat than real sausages.

to each his own

i am vegetarian and i find it fine
i can still eat a nutritious diet

i think the animals are going to die anyway because so many other people are eating meat and killing animals controls the animal population

but i have no problem with a vegeterian espeically if their doing it because they want to get helathy or something like that

Being vegan or vegetarian will keep you quite healthy, but what some people don't realize is that some meat, not a lot, in your diet will also help with you living a healthy lifestyle.

It's a morally , ethically and ecologically responsible choice. It's an increasingly necessary one too.

I think it's great if you choose to do it. I wouldn't want to be a vegetarian myself but I'm sure it's probably healthier.

Im vegeterian myself and i think its great...i mean if you can survive and live your life very healthy without the meat it kind of proves we really dont need ti and is just a delicacy. I dont discriminate agsint people who eat it but they do discrimiate agsint the vege. (the ones i know) and thats completly wrong. But i do think being purely vegan is greatly unhealthy, ur body is missing on the nutrients it needs and those can cuase serious negative effects on you.

Although I am not a vegetarian, I believe it's a personal lifestyle choice, and respect anyone who believes it is best for them. After all, who am I to judge?

im not a vegetarian but i think who ever is isnt weird.....they just think its bad to eat meat........my friend turned vegetarian when she saw an animal get slaughtered(thats usally y people turn vegetarian!)

Ive been a vegetarian for almost 2 years now. It was hard at first you forget that you made the change but once you have I dont think many people could go back. I pyschically feel different and mentally relieved of guilt. Its all up to who you are and what you believe. And dont let anyone tell you its unhealthy. Vegetarians lifestyles are of the healthiest lifestyles you can lead. if you feel eatting meat is wrong or killing an animal for its flesh is wrong make the switch.

Never seen any monks or nuns in hospital before.
no oily and bbq stuff for them i think so.

It's going against what human being have been doing for hundreds of thousands of years. Homo sapiens are omnivores meaning we must have a balance of plants and animals in our lives.

As long as you are getting the recommended amounts of protein, I don't see why it's a bad thing. It also makes a person very healthy because they aren't eating all the fat associated with meats like steak.

Vegetarians are generally slimmer, healthier and have better skin and hair. I don't have anything against meat eaters, I just think they are a little selfish. Eating meat contributes to obesity, methane gas (which hurts the entire planet) through the raising of farm animals and world hunger (there would be no hunger if everyone was a vegetarian because it takes 300 lbs of grain to produce 1 lb of hamburger).

Something that others do but definitely not for me... Why they do it is none of my business, however, and if they don't eat of my plate,I won't eat off theirs so to speak.

the only time I will ever be a vegetarian is on a substantial bet or a dare and only for a specific time period.. Or if Kate Beckinsale says she will date me if I become one...

I believe out bodies were made to be VEGAN. Vegetarianism is a step closer to better heath but to truely be in great health the next step needs to be taken.
Humans can live eat animal flesh but pay the price in poor health & massive disease.
By eatting a Plant Based Diet our bodies THRIVE. This is not my "opinion" there are plenty of studies proving this.

Slainté (to your health)

I am vegetarian for moral reasons and therefore agree with it.

I think it is wonderful. I just recently adopted the lifestyle, but am already finding that I feel much healthier. The vegetables and fruits I eat fill me up and provide me with more energy than meat, and they are not as difficult to digest. I am no hardcore vegan, but I have also tried to cut dairy and eggs out of my diet. Dairy comes with a myriad of health problems, and the animals that it is taken from are treated very poorly... not much better than the animals that go to slaughter houses.

Vegetarians live an average of 10 years longer for a reason. Their lives are typically healthier and their bodies are stronger. It's a great way to live, as long as you make sure to supplement your diet with lots of calcium (you can purchase calcium pills) and soy protein.

I think it's cool. It's good for the environment, good for the solving world hunger, and good for the animals.

To each his own..

If you can survive well, without hurting another be veggie. If it is absolutely neccessary for survival to take non veg.
I personally feel that eating vegetables is good for health. Not killing animals is showing your love for creation of the Lord.

Missing out on the good stuff.

Fine way of life-style unless your a veggie nut *associated with peta* but idc if a person is a vegitarian but if my kids are a good smack across the face *hunters blood* :D!

what ever makes them happy. i ahve a bunch of friends that are veggie and we get along fine even though i eat meat

i think some of them take it way out of proportion though...

I think its great. So many animals lives are saved =]

It's a great step in the right direction, but many of them forget that milk and eggs are even crueler than most meats. I went vegan within months of going vegetarian after I found out about the dairy-veal connection.

nothing better than a beef steak.

I personally think its wierd

GO MEAT MEAT

A person is a person vegitarian or not, we're born we eat we die, simple.
