Yes, the vegan section is a fun place to ask this question.
Ha ha ha ha Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Rub roast with 2 tbsp pepper and 1/2 tsp cardamon( all sides)
place roast fat side up on a rack in an oiled shallow roasting pan. Do not cover. Roast for 15 minutes at 500 degrees. then turn oven down to 350do not open oven door. now roast beef for 18 to 20 minutes per pound for rare. 22-24 for medium and 26-28 for well. remove Roast from oven when time is done. lightly cover with foil for 15 or 20 minutes before carving. carve and serve with auj jaus and horseradish on the side.

This is the vegetarian/vegan section..

Try posting this under "Cooking & Recipes", unless you want some advice on cooking Gardenburger BBQ Riblets.

I presume YA put the question here by mistake?

Anyway, there are several ways to cook Prime Rib according to taste but I find Lawry's Prime Rib to be the best and easiest especially if you are making it at home. Juct check their website. You can also get a recipes I think of their side dishes and such like their famous "spinning" salad, creamed spinach etc.

Try braising it in pan after seasoning, then cooking it at 275 for a few hours until done how you like, with an instant read thermometer 125(medium rare)-135(medium well) than tent it in aluminum foil for 30 to 45 minutes to let the juices reconvene.. You should try marinating chicken breasts in balsamic some time too, nothing more tender.... Just like carnivores can cook vegies vegetarians can cook meat, you should read a book sometime this year because it seems you are being a little ignorant!
