I just signed a pledge on goveg.com....?!
Answers: saying i would be vegetarian for thirty days to see how i would cope..its been two days and im starving....and i dont want to offend anyone, but i come from a traditionally black family, that believe that every part of an animal should be eaten blah blah blah...and they are saying im trynig to be white...but im brushing them off...what i need is to know can i eat eggs, cheese, and fish, becasue i know there are like, certain types of vegetarians who do so... please im in need of HELP!!!
Congrats on making the pledge! Your problem is a common one... many new vegetarians don't know what kinds of foods to eat, so they just eat lots of salad. But vegetarians have the same caloric needs as meat-eaters. Make sure you're eating enough food and including fruits, veggies, beans, nuts, and grains in your diet.
Vegetarians don't eat fish (because fish are animals), but they do eat animal products like dairy and eggs.

Who did you sign the pledge with. They are the ones that should give you the health guidelines there is more to it than eating veggies , you must get the proper balance in what you eat.
There's no such thing as a vegetarian who eats animals. Fish are animals.
You "can" eat anything you want to. Vegetarians CHOOSE not to eat animals. It's clear you didn't bother doing your research if you're starving. There's more vegetarian and vegan food out there than there are animal products.

Tell your family to take note, I really don't think Coretta Scott King was white, nor is her son.
Girl, you are eating the wrong foods! And since when did vegetarianism become a white thing? lol! You need to load up on some eggplant parmigiana and some spinach lasagna and some deep fried okra, some meatless chili and some veggie jambalaya and stuff - there are lot of filling non-meat dishes out there, you just have to know where to find them! NO FISH THOUGH - that makes you a pescatarian, NOT a vegetarian - so no to the seafood. Good luck though - trust me, you may find it's worth it!
The pledge you signed at goveg.com was to refrain from eating meat, fish, and dairy. The site is maintained by PETA.
Having said that, you need to replace the protein you normally get from meat and cheese by eating tofu, veggie burgers, drinking soy milk etc.
I suggest you send some time reading the information on their site, it will give you nutritional guidelines and tips.
Good luck on the attempt.
If you're going as a lacto-ovo vegetarian, you can have cheese, milk, yogurt, eggs. All sources of protein.
You can get other sorts of filling protein foods such as beans, nuts (peanut butter included), soy products, and rice.
You probably need help balancing your meals. I believe on goveg.com, they have meal planning solutions that can help you balance your meal.
It's not a white thing. I'm asian and vegetarian. I had a black roommate in college who was a vegetarian.
Hi,
If you want to eat fish, eggs, and cheese you can!! That is still being a vegetarian. I was that type of vegetarian till 2008 when I gave up eggs and fish.=] I will occasionaly have eggs or fish if there isn't any other vegetarian thing on a menuu at a restuarant.
Eating fish and egg IS vegetarian.
Yes, pesco-vegetarians and flexitarian vegetarians can choose to eat fish, seafood and poultry. On rare occasions, some choose to eat beef.
Google "flexitarian diets" or "flexitarian" and you will see that milliions and millions of people are flexitarian vegetarians.
You should really think about things before making such a foolish commitment.
You can eat cheese, eggs, fish and seafood and still be considered a vegetarian.
