Vegetarian Survey?!
Answers: If you are a vegetarian and you live with a family of omnivores, does it ever get tempting to eat the meat?
Of course it does! Especially if you have only been a veggie for a short time, which, first of all, I congratulate you on your decision and I hope that it makes you happy.
Meat is tempting-- it smells good and has tastes which most people enjoy, salty and greasy. Even though my parents have been veggies for my entire life, they did not raise me veggie, and when I decided to stop eating meat, I was still exposed to friends, etc., who ate meat. I found that a huge help with these cravings was veggie burgers and other fake meats, which shared both the taste and texture of their real counterparts.
It gets easier. Before I became a full time vegetarian, I experimented on and off. After a month of vegetarianism, I broke down and had a hamburger. But when I ate it, I found that I didn't like the taste anymore, and the texture wasn't how I remembered. I had a veggie burger after, and I enjoyed the taste much better.
Also, during my first few weeks as a veggie, I had dreams in which I just ate chicken. But now, I don't miss it at all. I have replacements which make me feel better about myself.
You will be proud if you stick with it. It is hard at first, but soon it won't even tempt you at all. Even the smell of BACON doesn't tempt me anymore-- and if it did, my package of Morningstar veggie bacon is awaiting me in my freezer to get me by.
No, never. I know that meat comes from an animal. Also, it tastes and feels nasty in my mouth. I wouldn't imagine eating an animal product.
No not to me. I enjoy eating my veggie foods. If you don't enjoy what your eating then sure you'll be tempted. Don't force yourself to eat things that you don't really like. If you want meat, eat meat
Make your own food,.. Veggie healthy stuff that smells good,..your body is only remembering what it taste like, it will pass, just stay strong if this is what you want.
never!
not really i was born vegetarian, but i have been curious about what meat tastes like. But there is a lot of other stuff to eat besides beans. Try tofu and soy meat. They are really good and soy meat tastes like the actual thing! You should also eat some nuts. I prefer cashews (the least healthiest lol).
I live in a house filled with meat eaters, yet I never crave it. Maybe it's due to the fact that I have gone a long time without eating meat and now my body just doesn't feel like it needs it.
