This lady who owns a magazine says shes a vegan but yet she has regular recipes in her magazines food section?!
Answers: what do you guys think about this?
Just because you subscibe to a particular point of view, that does not mean you should villify another. Same goes for religion, politics, and most other completely subjective choices in life. I think mushrooms are pretty gross, but a happily make them for my family and guests. I just won't eat them....
so what? if she owns the magazine, then she gets to put whatever the heck she wants in it. she is probably trying to be appealing to a broader audience. the vegan audience is not exactly HUGE. she's trying to sell more magazines! let her be. if you want to buy a magazine and publish only vegan recipes, than you can. God Bless America.
It really depends on why she is a vegan. If she is one just because she likes the food or thinks that it is better for her, than it is ok to put other recipes in it. But, if she is a vegan because she thinks it is wrong to eat animals or animal products then she should not put these in her magazine. It wouldnt make sense. But more people would also buy her magazine if she put different kinds of recipes in it and she probably knows that.
What magazine are you talking about? Plus, even though vegans can be foodies it doesn't mean she wouldn't cater to the rest of her demographic.
if she has business smarts, she is going to print recipes that attract and sell, unfortunately the vegan lifestyle is the minority not the majority, so it wouldn't sell to the mainstream audience
now if she is marketing it as a vegan mag, than she is definately not printing the right recipes, and i'm sure is losing her vegan customers
This would be the same as asking "If you type the word "meat" in your question, are you still a vegetarian?"
By the way, when you say "regular" recipes, are you implying the vegan recipes are irregular or not normal?
