Guinness is not Vegan. As far as I am concerned.
As it uses Isinglass. In the production of this beer.
Chances are as they state there is no trace of Isinglass in the beer, but its a direct product in the manufacturing.
Isinglass is a by product of the fishing industry, think fish gelatin.

The below links refer to isinglass its self and a link to a list of beers and whether they are vegan or not.
It is always a matter of personal choice as to what you eat/drink.
guinness has no animals pieces to it at all so you are okay if you are concerned if any animals were added.
i don't think there is fish in it
The drink itself has no animal parts, but the vats it is brewed in are actually cleaned with hamster skin.
ive heard but am not 100% sure that guiness uses fish gelatin in order to get the foaming effect in thier beers
I read about this. - since becoming vegan, I am trying to find vegan wine. its fo rhte same reason. its the way it is made. not the actual ingredient but how they filter it!
In England there is a really big choice of vegand wines, that you can buy in most large food stores. but here in the US its a bit more difficult!
- sorry, I know that does not answer your question, but I thought I was the only one that knew of vegan wine!
Go to their website www.guinness.com
There's no secret ingredients in stout beers,(no dead fish, no dead rats, no witchcraft or sorcery) just magnificent brewing skills. It's absolutley animal product free. SLAINTE!
P.S. why not try irish whiskey as well, mmmmm nectar!
Boo Yah to boo yah! That's the correct answer.
Hello. Guinness doesn't even know what they put in their beer apparently.
According to tastebetter.com Guinness has told that that there is no Isinglass in their Extra-stout beer, then, in November, of that same year, they got another response from Guinness saying that they do use Isinglass in their beer.

scroll down to Guinness and then click on the plus sign next to the name.
According to this site: http://www.tastebetter.com/features/booz... even Guinness can't answer that one! Personally I'd err on the side of caution since they seem really unclear on how they make their own product.
Guinness is not vegetarian or vegan.
