What ingredient in soy milk is also used as airplane degreaser?!
While it might have some positive effect on the soy drink overall (or else why would it be added?), a common side effect is stomach irritation.
I am convinced that certain milky Sobe and V8 Splash drinks contain this ingredient, since they've caused me diarrhea in a way that very few other things do.
Once I saw an article with a fleeting reference to this ingredient, but I can't remember its name, nor have I managed to google it again.
What is the name of this ingredient?
Answers: I understand that there is an ingredient in some soy milks and other soy-based drinks which, in a higher concentration, is used to degrease airplanes.

I don't know about V8 Splash, but Sobe contains dairy milk not soy milk. Try looking at the ingredient lists on things that bother your stomach, and see what the common thread is. And whatever it is, you're probably allergic to it.
I think thats an urban myth. I found the ingredient list for "Pearl Original Organic Soy Milk"
1) Filtered Water
2) Whole organic soybeans
3) Organic evaporated cane juice
4) Organic malt syrup
5) Tricalcium
6) Phosphate
7) Sea salt
8) Carrageenan
9) Organic natural vanilla flavor
10) Vitamin A Palmitate
11) Vitamin D2
Recognize any of these names?

None of these ingredients are used as a degreaser in airplanes.
You could just look on a bottle of V8 splash and read the ingredient list. You could do this next time you go to the store.
You're probably just allergic to certain soy products. Its like that old joke:
Man: Doctor Smith? It hurts when I lift my arm above my head.
Doctor Smith: Then don't lift your arm above your head.
Don't drink soy-based drinks that make your stomach hurt.
I think your talking about a deicer. It's noncorrosive and comes from soy.
