Animal liberation?!
Answers: what exactly is it? how can animals be considered people?
if you really want to know more about animal liberation:-
watch a free video on google, its called earthlings
after watching that video, - that is if you are able to watch all of it! - you will be able to answer your own question.
i wish you luck, in finding the answer!
A better question is, why do some people refuse to accept that humans are animals too? We are not in a seperate kingdom.
It's a joke. Liberating animals is about like giving them the right to vote.
Nobody says they're people. Liberation is freeing them from our usage of them.
Animal liberation is certainly not about considering animals people or giving them the right to vote (duh!)
It's about ending the "tyranny of human over nonhuman animals" (that's from the first line of the book "Animal Liberation" by Peter Singer").
It's about liberating the billions of animals on this planet from the utterly unspeakable amount of suffering which humans inflict upon them when they exploit them for food, clothes, entertainment etc. That's all!
Type "factory farming" into youtube for a sample of images from actual farms where animals are intensively raised for food and you'll see what I mean.
Animal liberation isn't about considering animals to be people!
It's about recognizing that sentient creatures have a moral right to be protected from torture and suffering, and that their right to live is as substantial as our own.
