Can you recommend a good vegan or vegetarian alternative for crumbled Italian sausage?!

Question: I cook alot of Italian dishes and while I can find awesome vegan alternatives to sausage patties and links, I haven't found anything even halfways decent to use as a substitute for spicy, crumbled Italian sausage.

I like the Tofurky brand Italian "sausage". They aren't in crumbles but you can crumble them up yourself. I have heard that Gimme Lean Sausage crumbles were good but I haven't tried them yet.

Theoretically, Morning Star brand of meatless has a sausage alternative and Boca is supposed to have one as well. I looked in the stores in my area for their sausage version and couldn't find one, but maybe my stores were just out? It would be in the frozen foods section with the Boca "hamburgers."

Go in the frozen foods section in your grocery store. Look for a brand called Morning Star or Boca. They have all sorts of meat. Some brands of vegetarian foods also have italian sausage!
