Why no meat?!

Question: Health Reasons? or Dont like the taste? Spiritual?

Answers: Health Reasons? or Dont like the taste? Spiritual?

because they live on a farm and end up seeing how the meat is prepared!!! its a grose sight and not alot of people want to eat something they just saw being killed..thats what got my friend...

save the world, the way the world is heading, we are going to be so over populated with too much cleared lands from growing grain and soy, grazing cattle and so on. we have to stop otherwise everything will just collapse and everyone will suffer.

the real question is.. why meat

i became vegetarian when I was 5 because I wanted to be a vet when I grew up!!!and it kinda just stuck with me! LOL!!!

No, I think the real question is why not meat. Thats what I read anyway. I looked a couple more times to make sure, and that is indeed what it says.

not a big beef eater. Go for the organically raised beef, it's a little more expressive but the alternative is eating beef that eats feed with other cow parts in it thus a problem causing mad cow disease. look up mad cow dies on line. cows were not meant to be carnivores.

Besides the health matters and the fact that it will block your intestines and your colon, I also have spiritual issues with killing and eating of an innocent animal who has no idea its sole existence is to be consumed by another animal!!!

John Wayne's colon story was a myth, He did NOT have 40 pounds of meat in his colon when he died. HOWEVER, Elvis' colon story was true. He had lots of gunk in there from poor eating habits (hamburgers) and also from his drug use.

Bottom line, meat aint good for your health!

i keep answering ur questions but w.e

personally, i think its really sad how we treat our bodys like graveyards. i couldnt imagine that animals were created to be eaten. they feel, they play together, they breathe. they have just as much of a right to live otherwise they wouldnt have been created. if you just watch how even an ethical person kills an animal,it still is really sad that our food is an outcome of death. it just doesnt seem right for an animal to have to die just because were hungry.

if everyone was a vegetarian.... just imagine this world.. sweet bliss. im a vegan because i believe in pacifism, and each person who does this is one step closer to this world becoming a peaceful and beautiful place..

meat really is murder

killing animals is violence and far from peace... now why support that?

It's mostly a combination of the above 3 reasons, I'm vegan for a few main reasons.

- Ethical
I am completely against the horrible factory farming methods used to "produce" meat. I also don't believe it's fair or just to take the life of another sentient animal just to satisfy our taste buds. Especially when there are tastier more ethical options available.

- Environmental
Animals produce massive amounts of waste, green house gases and require large amounts of pesticides, herbicides and antibiotics. Thousands of acres of rain forest are cleared to produce grain. The amount of water required to produce a pound of meat is also huge. It is simply unsustainable.

- Health
Meat is full of growth hormones, pesticides, herbicides and antibiotics. These toxins and pollutants are bio accumulative and increase in concentration the higher up the food chain you eat. Meat and dairy is also high in fat and cholesterol, and completely lacking in fib re and many nutrients.

Plus veggies taste alot nicer than greasy fatty meat.

I get a cool title and vegetarian women are easy pickens.

Chicks dig it!

abby road i hate to tell you your body is a graveyard..for plants but i guess u dont care becasue they dont walk around lol ur 11 arnt you lol...meat is perfectly fine for your health..it can help improve it..if its the right kind...organic, lean cuts are very good for your health...too many apple seeds can cause acute cyanide poisoning...but i bet you would never here a veggi telling you to not eat then so dont bash meat.

1. It's unnatural.
2. It's unhealthy.
3. The animals are tortured horrifically.
4. I don't care for eating blood, pus, sh*t, and steroids.

Why Become Vegetarian?
There are as many reasons for becoming vegetarian as there are vegetarians; it's a highly personal and individual decision to make. But in a survey conducted on behalf of The Vegetarian Society the majority of people said that they gave up meat and fish because they did not morally approve of killing animals, or because they objected to the ways in which animals are kept, treated and killed for food.

With the growing awareness of the importance of healthy food, many people are also becoming vegetarian because it matches the kind of low fat, high fibre diet recommended by dieticians and doctors. Concern about the environment is another factor as people become more aware of the effect raising animals for their meat is having on the environment. Or you may be concerned about wasting world food resources by using land to raise animals for meat instead of growing crops that can feed more people directly.
