What are some good/bad things about becoming a vegetarian?!

Question: I'm 24, and have been a vegetarian for 7 years. They are right, you will lack the right vitamins and nutrients if you aren't smart about it.

Get plenty of protein by eating soy products, and various beans & nuts, and also don't forget those leafy greens & fruits. After all, remember what puts the VEG in vegetarian!
You'll be just fine. In fact you'll be much healthier than those who choose to eat meat. You'll shed some pounds, and significantly lower your risk of obsesity, heart problems, cholesterol, you name it.

The only downside is that you sometimes have less to choose from at restaurants. But there's almost always a few options.
Come to think of it, being a vegetarian is a very adventurous thing to do. You'll try foods that you never thought you'd try before.

Just be smart about it! Do your homework before making such a drastic change in your lifestyle :D

Always read labels, there are many animal based ingredients in many different and unexpected products.

PS. And actually, your poo hardly smells at all because there's no rotting meat in your colon (trying not to be too graphic here)

:)

Good luck!

PRO: healthier and more fit

CON: you still dont get any nutients you get from meat
have to get used to the food for long time and not cheat
no protien which mean weak bones

Right now everyone thinks you're a hippie. If you become a vegetarian, everyone will KNOW you are a hippie.

I am vegan and I think the pros of being vegan is u feel healthier, and u are healthier. Why does every one keep saying that u dont get enough protein? Yeah if all u eat is hersey bars and cokes then yeah u wont get enough protein but if u are eating real food then its almost impossible not to get enough there are days I think I get to much. As for the cons, I don't know that there are any......well sometimes its hard to find a store that has a product u need and u have to drive all the way to the health food store just to get one thing, or sometimes u might just have to order online, but other then hard to find food and alternatives I can't think of anything bad about it. :-)

for your body to produce the right energy and good engery it needs to come from iron
its really hard to get enough protein
you arent going to get type 2 diabeties because there really isnt much takeaway foods out there.

Good: the animals live cause you do not kill them for food

Bad: animals die because now you take all their food.

LOL

Seriously, becoming a vegetarian will depend on the state of your health. You need to have balanced vitamins and minerals even if you go the vegetarian way. Active people may need the meat protein to assist in strength and muscle building.

When you take a crap...it smells REALLy bad and your farts smell bad too.
