currently i am vegan, but when i was only vegetarian, i ate:
1. lots of fresh fruit (SO good)
2. Veggie wrap (spread cream chesse on a wrap, add lettuce, cucumber, tomato, red bell pepper, raisins, and pretty much any veggie you like)
3. Amy's frozen dinners
4. Thai Kitchen noodles
5. Pasta (but try not to eat lotsof pasta...you'll gain weight)
6. i ate mashed potatoes...bad idea...again, you will gain weight.
7. cereal! =P
8. peanuts (protein)
9. peanutbutter and jelly lol
10. you should google some vegetarian recipes, there are lots

I eat vegatables and rice.=)

Smart Ground is one of the best products on the market (IMHO). You can use it as you would ground beef. I buy tofu which takes the flavor of whatever you cook it with. Plenty of beans, black bean burgers, frozen veggie packs for a quick snack. It's pretty easy being a vegetarian these days...

Heres what I like to buy:

Veggie chik'n nuggets and burgers
Cashews
Peanuts
Peas
Snow peas
Romaine Lettuce
Cabbage
Carrots
LOTS of bell peppers
Chickpeas
Lemons, for my water ?
Baked beans
Soy milk, vanilla and plain
Egg replacer
Garlic
Chili powder
Pasta noodles
Marinara sauce
Wheat germ
Plain cheerios
Special K
Corn flakes
Flour tortillas
Apples
Oranges
Bananas
Potatoes
Grapefruit
Grapes
Pancake mix
Water
Green Tea
Kool aid
Wheat bread
Wheat flour
Sugar
Dark chocolates
Dog food
Yogurt
Rice cakes
Rice
Brocolli
Celery
Oatmeal, apples and cinnamon kind
Cinnamon
Paprika
Tahini
Sometimes I buy limes.

Theres more, but I cant think . . .

My shopping list for 2 weeks, family of 3, is typically:

- whole grain pasta
- rice noodles
- stir fry sauces/marinades/dressings/condiments
- assortment of veggies and fruits - TONS of different ones
- a few trays of tofu - firm and extra firm, one silken
- redskin potatoes
- sweet potatoes
- tempeh
- whole wheat flour, sweeteners or other baking staples that might need restocking
- any spices, herbs or seasonings I need to restock
- tomato sauce, canned and frozen veggies and fruit
- canned beans
- dry beans
- crackers, potato chips, dark chocolate
- peanut butter
- nuts and seeds, if I want any
- baby food for my daughter/ food specifically for my little girl
- soy milk
- sprouted grain bread
- hummus
- whatever else I find that looks good, there's no rhyme or reason

That's pretty typical.

There's so much to get. If you go to the frozen section at the store, there is usually a huge variety of veggie burgers, tofu chicken, veggie tacos, etc. You can also get things like falafel on pita, snacks such as fresh mozzarella wrapped with red roasted peppers or try assorted beans on a bed of yellow and brown rice pilaf. Try experimenting but if you're not sure, you're always safe with pasta and salad.

Vegetables,tauhu,yogurt,

Fruits, Veggies, nuts, Legumes (beans all kinds) - extra smooth tofu to make breakfast shakes.

Take a look at VegWeb.com for some good recipes and food guidelines.

fruit and veg.

Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as frozen...I never buy canned as they contain too much salt and sugar. I buy plenty of different grains...oats, millet, brown rice. You said you are vegetarian so you can also buy yogurt, cheese and milk as well as eggs. There are many awesome web sites with vegetarian recipes. Visit some of them. Some of them even include shopping lists.

Well we usually buy veggies as you know and buy veggie soups, veggie lasagna and other things that have veggies in them.I will list some things tha we don'teat to. (Go down)
1.We don't eat ground beef or
2.Ox tails or
3.Hamburgers.Thats all thanks for listening

Broccoli and RICE!
Rice is soo yummy...
A lot of noodles/pasta, as well...

I buy everything I did before, less the meat(and most junk food). I stock up on fresh and frozen vegetables(I use frozen for soups, casseroles, etc) and fresh when I eat it as a side. I buy fresh fruits weekly(mostly what is in season or on sale). I also have rice, beans, peas, etc in my cabinet. There are far too many things to list. I usually buy what I need to cook for the week, if I am making stuffed peppers for dinner I buy the ingredients that week, same as if I decide to make a vegetable loaf, etc.

You should buy rice and veggies and beans. You can work with them with salsa and pita bread(tortilla wrap yum). Brown rice--black beans--salsa--pita bread makes an excellent and simple rap. You can buy pasta too. Corn, brockoli, carrots, potatoes and others are very yummy. You can mash them, cook them, put cheddar cheese over them and work with them!! Thats the main thing..work with foods to see whatcha like.

Everyone pretty much already covered it . . .

Black Beans and Tortillas for Burritos
Veggie Burgers and Buns
Pasta and Tomato Sauce
Bocca Ground Meat (soy meat)
Loads of fresh fruit and Veggies
Lettuce and Salad Dressing
Vegetarian Chili and Vegetarian Hot Dogs
