Basic needs for a new vegetarian grocery shopping list?!

Question: I decided to become a vegetarian about five days ago, and I'm not sure if I'm getting enough of the right types of foods. I was just wondering if you could give me any items that would be good to have on a 'vegetarian grocery shopping list'? Thanks! It's appreciated! :)

Beans - For pasta salad, making hummus, vegan baked beans are yummy with a baked potato, vegetarian chili. If you have a Trader Joe's they have the best prices and quality.

Firm Tofu - Cut in 1/4 inch rectangles. Marinate it in some soy sauce and garlic powder. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve over rice with stir fried veggies. Save for sandwiches later.

Prewashed bagged spinach - you can add it quickly to pasta dishes, salads and sandwiches.

Soy meats - lunch meats, veggie hot dogs, veggie burgers, etc. There are some really good tasting ones out there. This will probably help you go vegetarian a lot easier but you don't want to eat too much because it is still processed.

Frozen veggies for quick meals. Edamame in the pod or loose.

Pastas and rice.

Soy milk and almond milk for over cereal. I like Silk and Pearl the best but Trader Joes is pretty good too.

Organic cane sugar - the other kind can be processed with bone char sometimes.

Peanut butter, almond butter and some whole fruit jams.

Nuts and fruit. Some of the best snacks are a handful of nuts and a piece of fruit. You get complex carbs and protein and fiber.

Depends on whether you want to go with cheap, slower , homecooked meals or microwave premade stuff that is more expensive.

Cheap- dried beans and lentils (or canned), grains (oats, wheat, rice, etc), vegetarian soups, vegetarian baked beans, fruits and veggies.Taco Bell bean burritos.

Moderate- soy milk, almond milk, rice milk, nuts and seeds, nutritional yeast, flax seed to grind in blender, fake frozen soy meats (Morningstar farms and Bocca and Quorn), tofu, various cooking oils like olive oil, etc...Ethiopian and Indian restaurants with vegetarian foods.

Expensive- Amy's frozen dinners and other vegetarian brand frozen TV dinners.Hodgson's Mills whole grain flours and ground almonds and ground flax seeds. Flax oil, palm oil shortening (non-hydrogenated for cooking), soy margarine, soy cheez, organic fruits and vegetables.

Buy some meat.Seriously.
