I've been Vegetarian for nearly 20 years. 5 years before being total Vegetarian I was a semi vegetarian eating veggies and fish.. yes I wrongly called myself a vegetarian than.. I guess all beginning vegetarians make that mistake!
It was the mercury scare that got me to give up fish! I became vegetarian because of the cost of meat.. one day a pkg of weiners the cheapest brand was$2.49 at the supermarket.. not worth it.. meat at that price I won't buy so I became vegetarian and found that more healthy for me so I remain vegetarian! I never thought of it as a style of living just a food choice type of existing! I sorta do miss fish but I never cared for any other type of meat!

I began on january 1st of this year, and i did it for the animals.
i finally was able to do it...i've wanted to for so long and i'm so glad i did.
i'm 13.
well wen i was around about...5 i think, i decided eating meat was mean and cruel for the animals, so i was a vegetarian, in till about i was just over 11. now I'm 13 and i only eat meat occasionally, just wen I'm at friends houses and wen my dad cooks it, but i dont eat much of it.
I've been a vegetarian for over 4 yrs. A few years prior to that I didn't eat lots of meat and then just chicken and fish.
Watching Peta's "Meet your Meat" video and reading books and articles about factory farming etc... helped to lead me to becoming vegetarian.
