Soy milk may not taste as bad when it spoils as does regular milk, so keeping it fresh by date is a good idea!

Once you open it, go by the 7-10 days rule.

To remember, write a "revised expiration date" on the carton with a marker.

The expiration date shown on the package is always the date it expires if it has not been opened.

Go by the expiration date, unless you think its gone bad early!

It is really hard to tell with the flavored ones like vanilla and so forth, but I always go by the 7-10 days.

If you get the plain stuff you can clearly tell when it goes bad because of the sour smell and it gets watery.

I'd go by the exp. date. The 7-10 days thing is probably just for "freshness". It'll smell really funky if it's gone bad.

Go by the expiration date. That's why I like soy milk so much because it lasts much longer the regular milk and vanilla is great for cereal because it gives it a sweet taste without added calories of sugar.

The expiration date is for an UNOPENED carton of soymilk. Once you open it, they suggest you use it within 7-10 days.

the 7-10 day thing isnt right, i always keep mine longer, but usually never more than two weeks. ive never had soymilk go bad on me

The expiration date refers to an unopened carton. Use your soymilk within 10 days of opening it.

just smell it and look at it. if it smells right and the color and consistency is fine then it should be OK to drink. I find it usually goes a bit gluggy at the end of the carton.
