You should go to a good nutritionist, one you are comfortable talking to about your eating habits. Talk about everything there is to know about calories, protein and fat and carbohydrate ratios, etc. She will design something that's perfect for someone that's your height and weight and help get you started.

I would discourage doing your own research and trying to do it all on your own because while you still have an eating disorder, the illness will skew everything you read, eat or do to cheat you out of a normal life - for example if you see a calorie range for someone your age, you might go for the lowest possible intake, or you might constantly pick the lowest fat option when it comes to meal plans. In reality you should be able to eat everything, and that includes previously "forbidden" foods.

I think having a third party there to assess your diet and maybe some meal logs you make will really help.

Also, it would probably help to have therapy for a while so you can get to the root of the problem and find out what is causing you to do what you are doing. Eating has a lot of emotional roots, it's not about the number on the scale, it is really about something much deeper. Maybe it's time to figure that out first.

I think it's great that you're looking into recovery from disorderly eating, it'll be the greatest day of your life when you can finally sit down and have some cake and not give a darn about what happens to that cake in your body. The freedom of not having an eating disorder is worth all the money in the world. :) Good luck, and I wish you nothing but the best! :)

I always heard that your portion size should be about the size of your fist, no more, no less.

used to be anorexix and bulimic and i went to talk to a profesional and they said if you want to loose weighy the healtiest wayis 3 meals a day
