I don't think there's a definitive answer for this. But I don't imagine Montana or Wyoming would be on the list.

My guess would be California. Just a guess though.
My husband told me that where he's from (Northern California) has a LOT of vegetarians and vegans, especially vegans. He said there's tons of vegan stores and products. Right now we live in Illinois and there's a pretty decent amount in the Chicagoland area but I really doubt it's as popular elsewhere in the state, especially the more rural parts.
I'm not sure but my guess would be California because out there, you have all sorts of alternative lifestyles....inc. (at least I'm pretty sure) vegetarians and Vegans. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.
Again, though, this is just a guess. You could look this up, on Wikipedia. They're bound to have that kind of info.
