Question for Vegetarians...Vegans in particular?!
1. Why did you go vegetarian/vegan?
2. How long have you been on a veggie diet?
3. What is your favourite veggie snack? (I love almonds!)
4. Do you feel healthier since you have been veggie?
Strange last question:
5. Did your complexion improve since you went vegetarian/vegan? (I am really curious about this one..)
Thank you. I will read and appreciate everything you write.

Answers: Hiya everybody. I have a few questions. I don't want to sound rude or anything, I'm particularly curious about veganism.

Heya Scottie,
1. I started of veg because I felt sorry for the animals. but the more research I did the more I realized how ecologically unsustainable an omnivorous diet is to sustain on large scales. I do environmental engineering and I'm also studying waste treatment from agricultural industries. That's what made me go vegan.
2. 1 & 1/2 years veg. only 2 or 3 months vegan.
3. Any kind of nuts really. Especially wallnuts, peanuts & almonds. I also like chocolate soy milk.
4. Yep I do feel healthier, but I wish I had a bit more time to work out at the gym.
5. Not a strange question at all. I had a bit of trouble with my skin for a few years. Tried some skin medication, but blemishes would always return, even while on veg diet. But my skin has cleared up since cutting out dairy and eggs.
What about you??? Your reasons etc?
1. To be completely honest, I started because my best friend made fun of me for eating meat. Hah. However, since then, I've realized that I have better reasons to be vegetarian. I think animal cruelty is disgusting and that animals should be treated as equals.
2. Hm... Just over four years, I think.
3. I love carrots and broccoli.
4. I've felt MUCH healthier since going vegetarian. Meat just clogs everything up. =P
5. Actually, yes. Given, I was 12-ish when I started, so of course I still had acne for the first couple of years, but now it's significantly better than most others in my grade. Plus, I just seem more.. glowy.
Hi... I WAS vegan for a while because my brother is vegan and also holistic therapist.
2.- Only 2 years npow I eat fish & chicken
3.- Jicama ( a mexican root)
4.- NO infact that is why I eat animal protein, i gained weight I was soooo lazy headaches, really bad
5.- My brother still is (has been for 13 years) but he has been loosing teeth so, I think alllextremes are not good. Mine was terrible I stoped working out because I felt so bad, now I can work out for 2 hours, have my hair back (I was loosing it) yes my skin was good but the rest was bad.
I had trouble digesting meat so I never ate a lot of it anyway and one thing lead to another and I gave it up completely...I have been vegetarian or vegan for 6 years, so far...I will eat Lay's potato chips, they are cooked in soy bean oil and I like popcorn I pop myself in olive oil...YES! I feel so much better being at least vegetarian and the best as a vegan...yes, my complexion is rosy and clear when I eat all those vegetables and fruits!!!!
1. I went vegetarian for the environment, vegan for the animals.
2. I've been veg for 20+ years.
3. Favorite snack- Chocolate coconut Lara Bars! Yum!
4. I feel healthier now that I've made nutrition a priority. I was a junk food veg for years.
5. My complexion really improved after I went raw. There really is a "glow" that people talk about.
