Are there sweet beets that don't need sugar?!

Question: All beets are sweet. In fact, much of the world's processed sugar (white table sugar) comes from sugar beets. If you're putting sugar on beets perhaps you're not preparing them correctly. Try roasting the beets (fresh not canned, please) to bring out their natural sweetness.

Nope - they are all vegetables.

The newer varieties of beets with lighter color are sweeter than the ones we are use to.
