4 Animal Testing question?!

Question: What shanpoos and conditioner brands do not test on animals?

I know colgate tests on animals but my dentist always gives us colgate products when we go there. He gives it to all his patients. Should I use it or no?

Does neutrogena test on animals?

Would you consider me a hypocrite if I watch America's top model because they are supported by cover girl?

1. Bath & Body Works, Jason Natural Cosmetics, John Paul Mitchell Systems, Kiss My Face, Nexxus Products, Origins, and more. Here's a list of hair care companies that don't test on animals: http://www.peta2.com/STUFF/s-cf2.asp

2. That's a good question. In the future, you could politely turn down his offer and explain that you only use cruelty-free products or simply say that you already have plenty of dental products at home. Colgate profits from selling their products to dental offices, so the fewer products your dentist gives out, the fewer he'll buy from Colgate in the future. I wouldn't worry about using the products you've already received. You could give them to someone who normally uses animal-tested products if you'd like.

3. Yes, Neutrogena is owned by Johnson & Johnson, a company that tests on animals.

4. No, I wouldn't consider you a hypocrite. Just about every TV show is supported by the advertising money of companies that hurt animals... KFC, Wendy's, etc. Boycotting television isn't going to change that or help animals.

One thing you could do is e-mail The CW network at feedback@CWTV.com and express disappointment that Cover Girl is associated with America's Next Top Model... Explain that you only support cruelty-free companies and would love to see cruelty-free advertisers on this show in the future. Hope this helps!

there isn't a shampoo or conditioner or cosmetic company
that doesn't test on animals.

some may advertise that
"the final product wasn't tested on animals"
but all that means is that they tested a prototype
on animals, then changed it a teeny bit.

also, every ingreedient that could go into cosmetics
has been tested on amimals at some point.

so...
long story short,
there is no guilt-free shampoo, conditioner, or makeup
out there,
even if it says it is.

sorry,
Rachey

i wouldnt use it if it were tested on animals - i'd tell him to give me somethiing that doesnt test on animals instead.

:( i use4 colgate and i didnt know about it.
im soo off it!!
