Do vegetarians typically get all the fiber and protein they need for the day?!

Question: Yes, since they are more likely to eat things with a lot of fiber such as beans, things like sweet potatoes, and despite what we North Americans have been told there is protein in vegetables and non meats. Beans and Tofu have a lot of protein and so do most vegetables. You don't need the protein from Animals in fact that type of protein is more likely to hurt you because of the fat that's also associated with it. We also eat more protein than our bodies really need, which is one reason that meat is no longer at the top of the food pyramid. Following the food pyramid will give you a very good idea about how you should eat healthy.

It depends what they're eating. A lot of vegetarians eat tofu, or fish, or veggie patties.

Get more fibre than in a typical urban diet. Raw plants are rich in digestive fibre.
Pulses, quorn and Tofu is chock full of protein. Its a myth to suggest that Veggie diet is short of these. Just look at typical veggies from Asia and look at healthy veggie children.

i do!

I'm a vegetarian and I don't think I do
I could easily change my diet though with beans and tofu and stuff
it's just that I suck at preparing tofu (it always goes wrong!)
it all depends what your diet is
a veg diet can be varied, including in healthiness, just as much as a diet containing meat can be

Most Americans eat 2-3 times more protein then they actually need. As long as vegetarians are getting the recommended 2-3 serving of protein each day then that is sufficient. As far as fiber, many vegetarians eat a variety of fruts, veggies, legumes, and beans. Each of those is rich in fiber!

no... lettuce does't cut it much in any area... GO MEAT!
