Coconut milk is not any form of milk and does not have lactose nor can it be coagulated into cheese or yogurt.

Coconut milk is called that because it has a white color like milk does. That is the end of the resemblance.

can you produce yogurt in coconut milk? = No

how about cheese? Nope

But you can have a bread spread made from coconut milk. One commercial one is Kaya. Delicious on freshly baked white bread :D

Coconut milk is not an animal product in any way. It's when you take the fleshy part of a coconut and puree it in water to get a creamy concoction. As far as I know, you can't produce cheese or yogurt from it. But there are some nice soy alternatives if that's your concern.

Coconut "milk" is not really a milk as in dairy milk. It simply looks like milk hence the name. So no, it does not contain lactose.
No you cannot make yogurt or cheese with it. It doesn't curdle that way.

But you can make vinegar or wine/liquor with it though.

Coconut milk is not milk. It really should be called coconut juice. It does not contain lactose, and you cannot use it to make yogurt or cheese.
