2 Leopard Geckos, one didn't make it :(
4 Cats at a rescue shelter.
1 Cat that was a tiny killer with the rats, she was a stray
1 Dog Border Collie at the Shelter
1 Corn Snake

2 Cats, Molly and Shadow they were abandon by our neighbors, we fostered and they have good homes.
1 kitten named Max, he got out of a house waaay down the street. He's back at his owners.
3 dogs found that some how got out of their yard
1 frog, some idiot kid caught it in the swamp so I said what is he going to do with it, he said throw it or at someones window. he asked if I wanted it and I said sure then put him back in the swamp behind my house
1 A baby Great Plains Rat Snake, stupid kids were stepping on him and poking him with a stick.
1 Some kind of tiny lizard, again away from the kids who were hurting him/her.

Hmm, that's around it.

Ya it's under food & drink -> vegetarian & vegan.

I'm not sure if you mean have I ever rescued an animal before it was about to be eaten? It's filed under food and drink...if you meant animals that were pets or wild animals,

I have brought mulitple animals to wildlife hospitals -- squirrel, bird, an owl

I have also rescued two kitties from the pound.

I have rescued some bugs from certain extinction when they fell into a swimming pool and were struggling (they are also God's creatures)...does that count ?

ive saved a robin, maybe 2
a snake
a turtle
and maybe a fish or two, i cant remember

anyway i found this question on the homepage

Yes, I have rescued several dogs, and I found all of them homes (if they were stray). Most of them went back to their original homes. Hopefully their guardians will put collars with tags on them from now on and not allow them to wander. There was one especially cool, mellow dog that I feel in LOVE with, and I have adopted her. It has been very enriching.
Ginger had a terrible flea infestation when I originally found her in 2004. She was being neglected and left to run around with no supervision. Someone else adopted Ginger before I finally did, and Ginger gained 15 pounds with them which is a total shame. She lived with them for a couple of years and was kept indoors and was overfed. This was the OPPOSITE of the first home Ginger was in. I was overjoyed to take over, and unless something happens to me, I will be Ginger's final home. I've helped her get a lot of the weight off. We go almost everywhere together and she's very healthy, fit, and well cared for.
Here she is:

I'm sort of obsessed, but she's my first dog besides the ones that my parents had when I was growing up.
And yes, this question is on the main V&V page! :-D

5 rescues,

I was never allowed to have a pet when i was little. On my 25TH birthday, I was running/training and I found a lost dog, I tried to find the owners, but no one came forward, I named her Angel. The I got another dog, Jamie, and then Pramie.

My husband I rescued a abandon cat. Named her Abba, and we took in a black kitty, that was going to be put down the next day!

My Angel passed away, she was old.

I want to rescue more animals. I love them!

Maybe? My brother was going to "declaw" or give away the family 10yr old + cat. Well, i took her in. I was blessed to have her. I think she may have saved me. I love and miss sammy cat.

Thats what I do..I rescue animals all the time, its my life

i helped an ant to cross the busy street,

I found a small baby rainbow lorrikeet and raised her and now four years on she is lovely and talks and her name is chirpie

2 rabbits and a cat that adopted us so we just let him board with us

Hey Clare A you dog looks fit and healthy and you look like you live in a nice part of the world

i have saved birds and abandoned kittens, and have volunteered at the humane society.

see, even us meat eaters love and care about animals

Yes, countless times. I used to volunteer atthe German Shepherd Rescue and have adopted and placed several dogs. Part of the family estate is an Audubon Society certified Wild Migratory Bird Sanctuary so birds are safe from hunters there. My youngest daughter picks up stray kittens off the street, raises them and puts them up for adoption. The latest count is 28.

And I am an omnivore and so is the rest of my family.

i found this cuz your on my email list and yes i have rescued a couple of birds and turtles and mice and a rat and a squirrle and a horse and a deer

Sure, lots of times; dogs, cats, squirrels, turtles, snakes, mice and birds. Even insects, spiders and worms.

I used to pick up a lot of box turtles that were walking in highways; I'd take them home and turn them loose in a state park later on. I used to keep them in a kiddie pool; sometimes I had as many as 20 box turtles at a time.

I don't think anything's wrong with your account, your question is on the main V & V page.

Yes.

I've rescued animals from traps, (foxes, rabbits, ect.)
I've rescued new puppy who was wasting away in a small pen, receiving no food, we kept her
I've rescued frogs, baby birds, a horse, and a toad :) animals none the less

I love animals and I'm tired of being called an animal hater just because I eat meat

Edit: Oh yeah, and lots of turtles that were in the road-me& my dad always save them, even if there's traffic, because some people run over them for fun.

Oh and one time I asked my parents if I could get out of the car real quick to shoo this puppy away from the road and back into it's neighborhood. I didn't care if it held up traffic, If it meant saving a life, so be it.
