"How do you get your protein?" has definitely been the most common one over the years. I feel like I've answered that question often enough that the whole world should now be able to recite veg*n protein sources, but alas, it comes up here daily.

The weirdest one was from a ex-vegetarian. She became very alarmed when she met my boyfriend and found out he was dating a vegetarian. She asked how long I'd been doing it and he told her 2 1/2 years. She said, "Oh, you have to talk her out of it! She's going to turn green soon! It happens when you've been vegetarian for 3 or 4 years." He was really worried about me and kept his eyes peeled for signs of greenness for years. It's been over two decades now and I have successfully avoided turning green (too bad neither the crazy ex-veg or the gullible ex-boyfriend are around to see it...)

Pointing to the teeth "is there a root in there"!!!

hahaha
When my friends grandmother found out I was a vegetarian she flipped! She went
"YOU CAN STILL EAT CHICKEN RIGHT?!"
"WHAT ABOUT VEGETABLES?!?!"
and went over every food including meat......
oh god.....gotta love her.

and ive heard all the ones you mentioned.....haha.

"Plants can feel pain too"

"You're going to become anorexic"

"In a few weeks you'l be in the hospital"

My sister in law says, that all vegetarians are all hippie dippie poor tree huggers! - Funny thing is I actual make more money than her and live in a bigger house and more wealthy area than her!

Plus, I know that I have more money than her. but I would never say that to her, because I would not want to be mean!

I don't know any

The silliest thing and also stupidest thing is this remark:
"Vegetarians need Supplements to get their protein!)!" that is stupid and silly cause there's plenty of protein veggies: dark greens, red veggies, and beans. As for Funniest: " You murder your veggies don't you?" That's funny cause we don't take gun and shoot our veggies. We don't take them to the slaughterhouse for them to be killed!
Another thing that is silly or funny the Label: Flexaterian Vegetarian or Flex Vegetarian! Do they flex there veggies? I bet not.. They should call themselfs Swayers or Swayer Vegetarian cause they sway from Vegetarian to fish eating or what ever else they choose to eat!

"What do you eat?"

It's just so funny that people think that there's NOTHING to eat besides meat...I always say "Any food that isn't meat."

1. That vegetarians are somehow morally superior. Makes me chuckle every time, I mean look at Hitler and Pol Pot....

2. That vegetarians care more about the environment: monoculture is just ans environmentally unsound as meat raising.

3. That plastic substitutes for leather are better: do you have any idea of the environmental damage the plastics industry causes? Much worse than the tanning and leather industry.

4. That vegetarians have the right to preach at, and condemn omnivore people, yet we cannot raise so much as a whisper of complaint. See your local university campus for the latest "let's have a go at te meat eaters" event.

5. That a veg diet is suitable for everyone. Just like meat in a diet, some people cannot eat meat (or should not) and some people need it because a veg diet does not work for them.

6. That a veg diet is always healthier.

7. That vegetarians must be allowed lower health insurance premiums.

That it doesn't hurt children or teenagers with their growth.

That they don't eat fish.
