Vegans/Vegetarians, when was the LAST time you ate meat?!

Question: I'm thinking anything over 20 years takes determination!

So I would just like to know. I'm asking out of interest.

It was 10 years ago the last time I ate meat.

It was a bacon sandwiche...when I was 8 years old!

:-)

It was 1996, and I was 17. I hadn't eaten meat for several months at the time, but I wasn't calling myself a vegetarian yet. My boyfriend urged me to eat some of his school cafeteria chicken nuggets. I took a bite. Some chewy tendon or ligament was swirling around in my mouth and I could not swallow it. I knew I would never eat meat again.
Almost 12 years later, I'm vegan!

He He cool question Scottie. Report It

    :)

The last red meat I WILLINGLY* ate was in 1986 and it was a Greek Gyro. The last meat of any sort I ate was some fish in 1988.

(*I've unwillingly eaten meat by accident a few times - not realizing it was meat at first. Most of the time I can taste it and spit it out right away, though!)

    Congratulations!

I'd like to say 14, but that wouldn't be true. There've been a number of accidentals over the years.

the last time i ate meat was about 2 1/2 years ago

    eggs...this morning:(
Other meats, pork, beef, etc....probably a couple years
dairy...I ate that soy yogurt today that I thought was vegan and wasn't! Read the label after I ate it. And just realized my veggie cheese has milk in it too! Deceptive advertising! I need to be more careful about reading labels.

Christmas day 1988, I had been vegetarian for 9 months and my mother insisted I eat turkey at Christmas. I was so upset she never mentioned it again.

    Ummm let me think.
I think i was about 5 when i accidentally ate some beef at a Mexican restaurant.
(it was supposed to be a bean burrito).

But Ive been a vegetarian for 14 years, my entire life =].

1988. I went to meet my boyfriend's parents. They lived in the mountains of Colorado, in a tiny house surrounded by woods. They were poor, and all of their meals featured deer meat in one form or another- because it was free.

    I was born a vegetarian, so I've never ate meat..and i'm 19

7 years ago. My mum gave me my brother's chicken nuggets rather than my Quorn nuggets. I was repulsed with myself when I realised.

Have been veggie for 12 years, minus that one incident (which I still glare at her for, from time to time)

6 years ago. Haven't missed it one bit! :)

the last time I ate red meat was October 31. and the last time I ate chicken was new years.

22 years and counting...it doesn't take determination at all, it's just a way of life, just like brushing your teeth. I can't even imagine eating a piece of dead animal flesh.

    never lol...
i dunno whether to feel happy or embarrassed at that
