Questions about becoming a vegetarian? Is it worth it?!

Question: I guess you could say I'm on the other side of the fence. I do eat meat but as of late only fish. Meat like steak really makes me bloated and I usually feel miserable after eating red meat.

The last few months I have only eaten green veggies, fruit, fish, and nuts. My health has really improved over the last few months as opposed to my fast food days. I really do enjoy fish, especially salmon and talipa. Fish do have health benefits and I'm not sure how to achieve this without it.

Anyway, my question is, what is considered a balanced diet when one eats only vegetables/fruits?

I read that fish does ahve helath benefits, and people who ot it live the longest out of all diets, but with all that stuff in the water, i dont know. I'm a vegetarian for the animals and that means i don't eat fish

yes, it is.

If someone eats only veggies and fruits, they must get their protein some way, such as in beans or nuts. They must also get dairy in their diet.

i was vegetarian for over 20 yrs. I ate my last hamburg when I was 18 and switch for weight reasons - I started gaining weight...I was working in a restaurant and started hating the site of meat - especially chicken and red meats and never was a fan of pork. I started exercising compulsively and before I knew it I was anorexic...for probably the next 10 yrs. obsessed with my weight and food. I struggle a long time and finally when I turned 40 I said ____it and went to see a nutritionalist...turns out your blood type has alot to do with what you should eat...check it out for your health. I now know that type O blood - are meat eaters ...they need red meat...I eat only lean cuts of meat and nothing with a bone on it (stupid obsessive behaviour) but I am feeling better than I've ever felt....and I have trouble keeping weight on...I still work out alot but do not deprive myself of anything...don't believe in it anymore

I can't tell you if it will be worth it for you. You'll have to make that decision on your own.

Yes, fish do have some health benefits, but not enough to replace the gutting of the ocean and the deaths of 300,000 sea birds, and thousands of dolphins, whales, manatees, seals, sea lions, turtles, etc. Also, it's not worth the heavy metal and toxins that many fish and seafood creatures harbor.

There is nothing that you get from fish that you can't get elsewhere. A balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains, and should you choose, dairy and eggs is the best way to be well-rounded.

Grow some nads boy.
No it is not worth it. A man needs meat. Portion control it. I agree more fruit and veges, salads. But why cut out sometthing you love. Just cut back on it. Why deny your body what it needs and wants.
