If they can't have it (by choice) they don't want you to have it too..So they come up with numerous reasons why you can't have meat and why it's bad for you and why you don't really have it ,why you are not "designed" for it, why it can't be digested, why you will have a heart attack etc etc etc etc...

To be fair, it is only a very small number of vegetarians who come up with such statements. Mostly kids going through the latest "phaze" (as one vegetarian spelled it. Another answered with "fase" with gives you an indication of the age and maturity level of the asker and poster). These are also the ones who base everything on a single video on YouTube or Peta/Peta2, now apparently, unassailable sources of reliable, factual and truthful information Mindless fanatic converts who finally found a cause and are determined to change everybody else ACCORDING TO THEIR OWN VALUES. Not seeing the paradox of of this reasoning. Crying and whining about animals' freedom and what-not-not yet highly intolerant of other people's opposing views and totally disrespectful of other peoples' contrary opinions and choices and favoring and advocating removing the right to choose what to eat. Animals first, vegetarians/vegans second, others fourth. (and ironically, many of them are pro-choice)

You know the names, you know the lines, you know the mantra. It's all the same. Right off a peta manual or vegsoc starter kit. Yet they say omnis are "sheep" that pro meat orgs and societies lead by the nose. Kettle stove black. Except the stove is not black, the kettle is just blind.

Because eating meat is very unhealthy for you and green plants such as spinach and nuts have the same amount of proteins in it with less than 4 times the calories, so it's much healthier to eat these instead of meat. And also, because I feel that if anybody has a heart or feelings and see's how the animals are being cruelly treated and abused and still eats meat, is doing only for the taste.

They also say "spinach" alot, but too much is toxic.

I don't know why. Meat is healthy in small amounts. I'm tired of the level of ignorance form most, yes most of the vegetarians. There are only a select few who see that meat isn't all what vegs make it out to be. I thanked one last week for not being ignorant. That person was a vegan and stated that if meat caused cancer, well, then he would have died along time ago because he used to eat meat. Too much meat can cause cancer, but it's like if I sprayed a little bit of Tide in my mouth. It's not going to harm me if I eat it in small portions! If it were true, I would have cancer 17 years ago, and my parents would have had cancner 40 something years ago. It amazes me so much about the level of ignorance. And have you noticed that every meat moshing comment is from a vegetarian site? I want a highly educated comment from an omnivore who mentions about the health benefits of both sides. Meat is healthy in small portions. But a vegetarian lifestyle is a good choice as it is a humane choice. And praise our ancestors for eating meat! I love life to death! If they hadn't eaten meat, I wouldn't be able to enjoy life!

Because most people do eat meat to satisfy their tastes buds-but people tend to think with their hearts and not their brains-That's why a lot of animals that are so domesticated get freed out into the wild and are left to die because they have no idea how to feed themselves like laboratory animals and the people letting them go haven't bothered to research their care either.-and I guess some people don't realize there will be no beef cattle left if no eats them because they are expensive to feed and no one will. A lot of people save animals and because they have no clue how to care for them then they end up dying of a different kind of neglect. Lots of animals die everyday that if left where they were wouldn't be-but most people who are advocates are also where they won't be the ones left with the animals with no place to go-These are not wild cows and why would anybody keep them their milk is worthless. And a lot of people feel superior because they don't eat meat and they aren't I haven't met very many who don't have to supplement their diets with vitamins and minerals-Some diehard ones maybe but most are not as healthy as they could because they forget it was natural for us to eat meat all along. . It takes some very serious research to live as a vegetarian because your body was designed to eat meat. just like every mammal with canines-The truth is there is nothing to feel superior about either way and it is nobody's business to tell you how to eat and or even to make you feel bad about it. It is okay to write literature and to let it be there for those interested but I have known just as many mean nasty veggies as I have meat eaters unfortunately what you eat doesn't mean a thing unless you are kind to the one mammal you have to live with-humans-who are every bit as important as the soft cuddly ones with fur.
I go sometimes go without meat and I sometimes I eat meat and I have been in animal rescue and have, I know saved a lot more furry lives than the average veggie, so what does that make me?

There are 4, count 'em, 4 reasons people eat meat:

-For the taste
-Because that's all they know from being raised omnivore
-Because they are unaware or ignorant of conditions on MOST animal-for-food farms.
-Because for some reason people have it engrained in their heads that not eating meat can do a body harm. Thanks a lot "Insert your country here" Meat Board. People have no idea there are alternatives.

so, it's not about the taste? I should inform you then, there are many vegetarian sources of protein like soybeans, nuts, cereals... these sources are also low in fat, and high in fibers which are very good to prevent intestin and colon cancer...it's much healthier to quit meat, and if you don't care about the taste of meat, what's stopping you?

Given your history on this forum, isn't that a lot of "pot calling the kettle black"?

It's obvious that posting here frustrates you, so why not find yourself a non-vegetarian-sympathizing forum? Clearly that is where your ethics lie.

It's just a tactic the veggies use to make you feel guilty. Many overlook the nutritional value of lean meat. The satisfying my taste buds is an added bonus.
