Here are some good vegan sources of protein, iron, and calcium: http://www.tryveg.com/cfi/toc/?v=08sourc...

You shouldn't have any problem getting enough protein if you're eating a variety of fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, and grains. Make sure you eat enough calories to maintain your body weight; don't live on just salads and vegetables.

Good luck!

isnt a vegan a vegitarian

Whoa, slow down.

You don't need to eat lots of "protein" as such, you just to need to make sure you eat a variety of foods enough that ALL your nutrient requirements will be met. If you eat a sufficiently different number of fruits, vegetables, grains and so on over a week say, this isn't challenging.

Vitamin B12 is fine on that front - whatever way of getting some works for you is fine. Omega 3 is a type of fatty acid that, as far as we can tell, every body should consume a little more of, veggie or not. Think sources like quinoa and flaxseed and flaxseed oil, and these should do the trick. There are other sources too: a Net search will help you. But bear in mind, fat is still fat - whether this is "good" fat or not. A little will be beneficial, but OD ing on it will not.

I'd say try and learn a bit more about nutrition and vegan living, than have some fun with it. Good luck.

You don't need lots of protein to be healthy. In fact, most Americans consume two to three times the amount of protein recommended.

Most soy milks and many cereals are fortified with B12. You need such a small amount that I personally wouldn't spend the money on a supplement.

Good luck, it's great you've decided to become vegan! When I made the switch, I found the first few weeks were difficult but after that it wasn't at all hard. Read up on nutrition to make sure you fully understand what your body needs and so you can address the (possible) concerns of family and friends.

You shouldn't make the transition from meat eater to vegetarian sudden.

Take it slow, you can start by limiting your meat consumption little by little until its out of your diet completely.

It takes time for your body to adjust to your new diet.

The same goes for becoming vegan.

just eat normal. i'm a vegan, too.
