Will eating meat after 6 months make me sick?!

Question: I was pescetarian for a little over 6 months, and now I've decided to go back to eating meat. There are certain circumstances to why I have started eating meat again, so please don't judge me.

Anyway, I was just wondering if it's going to make me sick if I eat some meat now?

It may. I suggest you wean yourself back into it. Try bits of meat at a time. Your body isn't used to breaking down meat substances anymore so you're going to have to let it readjust.

Nope..I started eating chicken and turkey again after 11 years and it did nothing to my system.

I'm sure it's just your body readjusting to all the hormones and stuff in the meat.. I'm sure it will get better with time...

I'm not going to judge you, you have to do what is right for you.

Eating meat shouldn't make you sick, but maybe start off slowly with a little chicken or lean mince first & see how you digest it. Don't go all out for a mixed grill or cheeseburger straight away!

It certainly could give you a tummy distress, headaches, sinus problems.
Kind of a reverse detox. Dr. John McDougall talks about it in his info, he has patients that want to eat non-vegan food while on Holidays, he warns them of the back lash.
I only have 2 pieces of advise (no judgement) Still continue to eat lots of Fresh Veggies & Fruits, don't go S.A.D. with lots of junk food. If at all possible eat ORGANIC animal products & only wild fish.

Slainté (to your health)

After not having eaten meat for only six months, you should have no problem at all. Although it'd be wise to reintroduce meat back into your diet slowly.....I mean, you don't want to start with a big porter-house steak.

You've been eating meat for the past six months (sea life) so I don't see how eating meat from non-aquatic animals will make any difference.

It may but why would u want to?

Your digestive tract has been exposed to fish meat all along, so this isn't really much of a change.

really it depends on your body.
start off with puoltry and not that much of it.
if you handle that well then work your way up to red meat but dont go straight for the steak cause that probably will have negative effects

no you should be fine i mean we are omnivores and are meant to eat meat!

Yes it will make you sick because your body is not use to it. If I were you I would eat small pieces of meat then work my way to larger pieces of meat!
