I DO!! all the time.. i use extra firm and crumble it up on my pizza with a little kale on top.. GREAT stuff.. LOVE it.. i make my own so it was Whole Wheat pizza crust, tomato puree, and the tofu kale topping.. good stuff.. I'm telling ya..

ewwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!

i've never heard of it. however, i've heard of snow pizza & how delicious they are. =)

Flavored tofu (like the soy sauce flavor), sliced and fried and then put on the pizza is pretty.......edible.

i have, it tasted okay i guesss
my friend made it once
idk how she made it

Tofu absorbs the flavors around it, so if there is tomato sauce, it would likely absorb some..
it would be a great source of protein and a good substitute for cheese...

Here in Canada I bought tofu that was infused with sun dried tomatos and basil, just basil, a pesto one and a garlic and chive type.

As the one person said it absorbs the flavours it is cooked with, so get a jar of sundired tomatos and either fresh or dried basil, and crumble some tofu, firm or extra firm is best mix a couple of tablespoons of the chopped sundried tomatos ( they make a paste also) or just regular tomato paste, the basil and a bit of olive oil in to it, let it stand in the frig overnight and thn use it as a garnish on the pizza or as you cheese element, I have done it with Wh Wheat pitas bread, and with a veggie bruscetta like that, it will not melt like dairy cheese and you could add some soya mozzerella style tofu cheese as an added protein.

I had tofu pizza when I was visiting Slovenia. It was great, although i don't know how they prepared the tofu exactly (it seemed to be fried and marinated somehow). This was with a tomato base, and onions and herbs and spices.

I want the recipe. A lot!

i had soy cheese on pasta once. not your question i know, but the soy cheese tasted like tofu to me. and that means it didn't taste like anything. so i guess you could try it on pizza, just dont' expect it to taste like real cheese if that's what your hoping for.

I have heard of vegetarians sprinkling nutritional yeast on top for a cheesy taste. I have not tried it. Have not heard much of people putting tofu on top, but I guess you could.
