Is it healthier to be a vegetarian or vegan?!
However, there is a big difference in how challenging it is to become healthy on each of the two diets. Being a vegan is alot harder that being a vegetarian, they have more sources of nutrition cut out of their diet, and when not properly educated - Being a healthy vegan is very hard. This is why more vegans become unhealthy apposed to vegetarians, but when followed correctly - both diets are just as healthy as each other.
Answers: They are both just as healthy as each other when carried out correctly.

VEGAN.duhh. w/ bien vegetarian only your still eating all that bubbling fat thats in dairy and eggs, and even fish. butter, milk, cream, ew. vegan all the way
Vegetarian because your body was meant to eat meat and vegetables and dairy. taking out meat is okay because you can buy suplements, but removing dairy as well seems like too much..try buying kosher dairy products as well so you don't get tricked into buying things that have animal products in it (ex: cheese has Rennet, kosher cheese does not)
as a vegan, I can not eat much junk food. which by defaults makes it more healthier diet for me.
Vegetarian cause you'll still get your protein needs fulfull with milk and products made out of this
what do you consider to be healthy?
I'd say that I've never met a fat vegan.
Vegetarians on the other hand, I've met plenty of heavy vegetarians.
Vegan, hands down. Cheese has more cholesterol and saturated fat than steak.
See what Dr. McDougall says about it.
vegetarian...i dont consider anyone who eats fish vegetarian because they're still eating somehting that was a living breathing, moving creature...dropping all the dairy products will be hard for your body to adapt to and can be quite dangerous too.
Veganism takes the advantage for health. All the medical literature I've come across supports as much.
There is nothing healthy about eating eggs: 211mg (70% of your RDA) of cholesteol per egg, and 64% of the calories are from fat, all for a measley 6g of protein.
There's nothing healthy about cow breastmilk: 20 mg cholesterol, 31% calories from fat, and 15% of your RDA of saturated fat per serving.
The "health" people think they're getting from eggs and dairy is a complete illusion.
I think this question promotes disharmony within the community. It may cause division between vegetarians and vegans.
Vegetarian and Vegan diets can both be healthy.
I refuse to ''take sides'' even though I am vegetarian.
Best wishes

Vegans think it is healthier to eat vegan. The concept is that the human body is not really structured to fully or easily digest animal flesh or milk. It is believed that animal milk products cause mucus in the system.
Add to this information the recent scares of bird flu and mad cow disease, plus all sorts of parasites which can be contracted from meats and seafood, and the mercury that is in seafood.... do you really want to eat any animal products?
Honey is bee vomit. Aside from that, you are taking bees' hard work away from them (how would you like someone to empty your bank account?)
it's most healtiest to be a juicetarian
vegetarian
with vegan you can't have ANY animal products, so you would be lacking a lot of your proteins from dairy and such.
I would say Vegetarian, Mainly because you need a LARGE amount of education to be eating properly as a vegan. A lot of people strive to be Vegan but fall short in th health area because they do not know what to eat and how to eat the foods prepared properly for nutritional value.
That being said, to be a healthy Vegetarian you need to be well educated as well on your diet habits, but the restrictions are less stringent and hard to follow.
Vegan absolutely.
Dairy produces a lot of mucus a breeding ground for bacteria and has been linked with cancer. Eggs are high in cholesterol and even by meat eating standards are encouraged to be eaten sparingly. Honey has been found to be higher in sugar than even table sugar.
Does all this mean this foods are poison, no not necessarily. But what it does mean that if you have a variety of healthy vegan options you can be healthier without them.
vegetarian. if u think about what the first person said. ya, she was right about vegetarians eat fat and stuff, but as long as u dont have too much, fat is good for u. u NEED fat in ur diet. ur brain is made out of fat. if u dont consume enough fat and ur brain shuts down, that could b a problem... not 2 mention, u get protein from those foods too. u really need protein (ur hair and nails r made of proteins...)
To me not really because you need the protein that meat gives you.
Both are healthy but it is easier to be a vegetarian and have a easier time of it. You can always get fish and cheese dishes anywhere but good luck on untainted food in a restaurant situation. It really depends on your lifestyle if you travel allot or have a diversity of friends Vegetarian is just easier. Good Luck!
i would say vegetarian cause your body needs dairy and such
you should be none, eat everything, but I would say, vegetarian
