What's wrong with gelatin?!
Answers: Nothing is "wrong" with gelatin, but it is in fact made up from boiled down animal bones. Vegetarians and vegans choose not to eat it
if your a vegetarian you shouldnt be eating it.. Gelatin has bone marrow in it... which comes from animals... so eating jello or anything that has gelatin in it like pudding would not be vegetarian!
Nothing is wrong with gelatin, but most vegetarians choose not to eat it because it has animal fat in it.
Its wrong to put clear gelatin in the toilette bowl in work before you go home.
Well theres lots of things wrong with gelatin. First of all its really bad for the vital growth of your teeth. Also its fat cause gelatin is the pigs intestines goop and juice inside the pig. Examples include pepporoni, starburst, and etc. Im not saying you shouldnt eat them just dont eat them frequently. Also if your vegtetarian then dont eat anything from gelatin.
Bone Marrow, and other random body parts from cows and/or pigs.
Gross, huh.
ground up boiled animal bones and tendons and such.... doesn't sound too appealing to me
Gelatin is not a fat but a protein. It is made by boiling the bones, tendons, and hides of slaughtered animals. It is a brittle, clear yellow substance that is used to give a gel-like feel to foods.
Gelatin is produced from the connective tissue of animals. It's not a vegetarian food.
Gelatin (also gelatine, from French gélatine) is a translucent, colourless, brittle, nearly tasteless solid substance, extracted from the collagen inside animals' connective tissue. It has been commonly used as an emulsifier in food, pharmaceutical, photography, and cosmetic manufacturing. Substances containing gelatin or functioning in a similar way are called gelatinous. Gelatin is an irreversibly hydrolyzed form of collagen. Gelatin is classified as a foodstuff and has 441 E number.
sounds awful! and it is!! :) thought it might be handy to have the E number for it so you know what to look for on labels if you dont want to consume it!
Made from marrow, and therefore an animal product.
Not very vegetarian friendly.
You learn to live without skittles.
Gelatin in islam is prohibited to eat because it is a by-product made of pig skin. If you are allowed to eat pork and stuff like that than for you there is nothing wrong, as for me, well i can't eat it cause I'm a muslim.
well its pretty sick to eat it if u go and look how they make it
Gelatin is what remains after people take the bones, hides, ligaents, and tendons of cows, pigs, and sometimes fish, and they boil them. Gelatin is in everything from marshmellows to yogurt. It grosses me out plus it is not vegetarian so I do not eat it.
