Easy vegetarian foods for camping trips?!

Question: My family and I have made plans to go and a camping trip in the near future, and I am having a hard time thinking of foods that I can bring along that will fit my friends and my vegetarian diet. My parents can be pretty cheap, so most likely they won't buy anything from the health food store (bummer, I was hoping for geletin free marshmellows).

LOL - well first of all I love your humor...
I would just plan on having food for yourself and let them purchase what they want. There are veggie and soy meats that are easy to cook over the fire. Veggie chili, just make sure you read everything about what you are buying. There are alot of choices out there. There are alot of things, too, that are easy to make in the outdoors. I know this simply because I had to purchase a bunch of meals for my husband who was stationed far away and didn't have access to these things. Have a fun trip!!

I always take granola, soymilk (if you have a cooler and ice), fresh and dried fruits, carrots, celery, nuts, potato chips, crackers, pretzels, bread, hummus (cooler), dark chocolate bars, energy bars, cans of beans, tortillas with refried beans and jarred salsa, etc.

Have a great time! I hope to go camping soon again too!

make ur own salads or sub sandwiches. pb and j sanwiches are always fine.

Peanut butter and whatever you want sandwhiches! I pratically live on those any time i go camping at Dillon Beach.
