i dont belive in the idea of an animal being caged and tortured just for eggs...
so i wanted cage free...
but all were brown? are all cage free eggs brown? if so why?

No, they aren't. This close to easter the white ones tend to sell out, but it also depends on the region of the country you live in. Some areas have more brown eggs than white.
Try another market. You might get lucky.

Perhaps look for cartons marked 'free range'.
Most cage free eggs found are generally brown not sure why but there are white cruelty free eggs you just have to look around I say your best chance is at a Whole Foods they have alot of Vegetarian, Vegan options that's where I like to buy my stuff.
hate to harsh on the easter fun, but free range is a lie, theyre allowed to call them that with no regulations. there are no cruelty free eggs that come from factory farms. Please skip this project, use plastic eggs.

I don't know what color my eggs are because they have been in my sac my whole life. From the outside they appear to be white.
