What are organic foods?!
Answers: haha i probably sound dumb for asking that, and whats the difference between organic foods and vegetarian foods? thanks
organic foods are those grown without any chemical agents, i.e., without chemical fertilizers or sprays...and away from fields where food substances are being grown with chemical fertilizers or sprays.
It is easy enough to find packaged organic foods - they are clearly labeled, but it is not necessarily so easy to know if the vegetables and fruit you are buying are organic (the first number on the label should be "9", but it is not unknown for a vendor to deliberately mislabel vegetables and fruit.
Even though this is a vegetarian/vegan list, I will address meats et al: Organic meats come from animals that were free range grazed on organic fields, and that were not given any hormones or other non-natural "enhancers"
haha, even i didnt know the meaning some years ago...anyways, it means foods that are made from purely grown vegetables....the plants have not been given any kind of chemical for growth and beauty.
its more like u plant a seed in your garden n let it grow....when it will give fruits they will be human made chemical free....completely fresh.
organic foods arent sprayed with harmful pesticides. they have ten times the enzymes then regular fruit you buy.
the pesticides kill the enzymes.
Organic foods are all-natural, and have not been treated with and pesticides or herbicides. Very healthy for you.
:D
Organic has to do with the way it is grown.... no chemicals for fertilizer, pesticides, etc.
Vegetarian means that is contains no meat or animal products. There are different kinds of vegetarian people - some eat dairy, eggs and fish, some eat strictly plants.
Organic foods are produced according to a certain production standard. crops, it means they were grown without the use of conventional pesticides, artificial fertilizers, human waste, or sewage sludge, and that they were processed without ionizing radiation or food additives.[1] For animals, it means they were reared without the routine use of antibiotics and without the use of growth hormones. In most countries, organic produce must not be genetically modified;.
Organic food production is legally regulated. Currently, the United States, the European Union, Japan and many other countries require producers to obtain organic certification in order to market food as organic.
Historically, organic farms have been relatively small family-run farms[2] — which is why organic food was once only available in small stores or farmers' markets. However, since the early 1990s organic food has had growth rates of around 20% a year, far ahead of the rest of the food industry, in both developed and developing nations. As of today organic food accounts for 1-2% of food sales worldwide. Future growth is expected to range from 10-50% annually depending on the country. (see facts and statistics below)
hi, you can get organic fruit/veg/crops/eggs/milk which a veggie would eat, but obviously not the organic meat.
organic food and veggie food are two completely different things!
Organic foods, are foods which have been grown or produced without the use of pesticides, herbicides, growth hormones, antibiotics or synthetic fertilizers. Organic foods can be both vegetarian or non-vegetarian. Organic food must be certified organic and meet strict guidlines.
Organic is better for you and the environment, Since no herbicides and pesticides are used. Organic tastes better, has more nutrients, and is not covered in toxic chemicals. Unfortunately it is usually more expensive due to higher production costs and lower farming yields. If you can afford the extra cash then its definitely a better option. If not, just be sure to wash your fruit and veggies well before you eat them.
